Location is great as you would expect.

Location and look of hotel were super. Dinner was excellent on each night of my stay, staff friendly and helpful, bed linen and towels spotless. However, the room and bathroom felt a little uncared for. I had to make my bed each day and neither the room or bathroom were cleaned during my 3 night stay, ditto china cups for tea/coffee. I only expect to do these things if self catering in all honesty. It was fine for a short stay but the hotel was very large and the emphasis is very much on being dog and family friendly so I don't think I'd go back for those reasons.

Most of the staff were wonderful. We did however have an issue with our bathroom window. It's a clear window that is situated within the shower area. The blind was very much missing. My husband wasn't too keen on me taking a shower with the top half of my body showing. The night receptionist wasn't very helpful and suggested that 'no one has complained' Which confirmed that it had been that way for a while. Apparently the maintenance guy popped by but could not do anything, this information was given only after we enquired that about it. Apparently we had to suck it up and make do with me exposing my chest area. Eventually to be able to get clean without crouching I stuck a bath Matt in the window, the type with the suction pads On the first night to add to our Woes there was a group of at least 15 lads staying at a family hotel they must have taken a wrong turn at Ayia Napa, because you could hear them gaffaw all evening very loudly outside our bedroom window until late into the evening. Apart from that it was ok

The hotel is very "tired" and needs a lot of love and attention. Our meals at the hotel were good and the reception staff were good. The waiting staff in the restaurant were pleasant snd helpful. The hotel is close to Knoll Beach which is sandy and lovely.

A very spacious hotel, in an old fashioned but attractive relaxed style. Very Agatha Christie. Down side. Fixed price evening meal, consisting of starter and main.

The Knoll house is a charming classic hotel in a perfect location to acces the beach or simply look out to see the Old Harry Rocks in the distance. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended

Shower temperature oscillated from lukewarm to scalding every 20 seconds. Not just uncomfortable but dangerous. Bathroom didn't have a sink in it. Sink was in the bedroom, right next to the bed. Tap leaking / when closed. Only 2 plug points in the entire room! Used up for the TV and the kettle. Nowhere to charge your phone. 'Double bed' is actually 2 twin beds joined together - and they were of different heights, so beware 'rolling down' and back up again while asleep. Zero cleaning throughout a 4 day stay, no inquiry if we needed anything. Staff member had no idea where our room was, incorrectly directed us to a totally different building. Breakfast strictly average, buffet only. Coffee from machine was undrinkable, preferred the instant Nescafe sachet in the room! Despite all this, the place seemed fully booked, and many people seemed to be thoroughly satisfied. Clientele seems to skew older, and many seemed repeat customers.

The breakfast and evening meal were excellent and the spacious dining room with beautiful sea views was a highlight.

very beautiful location, great for walking

Nice room with balcony and distant sea view. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy some of the facilities on offer. Bathroom was pretty good with a shower over the bath. Controls were a little stiff and difficult, not at all intuitive to use but there was plenty of hot water. Bed was on the hard side but comfortable enough. My only complaint would be the distance between the bed and the wall making it difficult to get out, particularly at night. Not helped by the large picture hanging right where you need to walk, very easy to knock as you squeeze past in the dark. Dinner was a set menu and was quite good but with limited choice made even more limited on a Sunday if you did not wish to have a roast, two of the five options, fortunately we did. Breakfast was a very good hot buffet. We were certainly set up for the day. Would I stay again? Probably, yes.

Lovely location, great staff especially in the restaurant. Room was clean and tidy but finish was slap dash in bathroom. Little things like a wonky splash back, poorly laid floor tiles and film over windows looked like it had been ripped. Whole place needs some investment to bring it back up to standard, that said, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming and we would go back.

Firstly I booked through expedia who I thought would be competitive, however I paid £70 more than apparently booking direct as got an invoice pushed through my door on the morning of checkout - they said the I paid £70 more because I booked through expedia and that was their commission. The hotel was perfect location, but very dated and old fashioned. The bar was expensive and the spa area was massively overpriced for what it was

For the price I expected to have WiFi in my room. Told it was hit and miss. Tv was a small 15inch. There was one double socket in the room used by the tv and kettle. When you look at a high level view of amenities it states WiFi, outdoor pool etc, but you need to go in further to see that both indoor and outdoor pools have a surcharge etc

Amenities good rooms clean but bed was very small and duvet very heavy. No aircon could be very hot in summer. Very cobwebby all over outside of building . Could do with a good clean. Good views and superb position on coast

Knol House Hotel is a little dated but is still a lovely place to stay. The location is ideal.

The hotel’s public rooms maintain a faded charm of times long gone, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are modern, well equipped and functional. The setting overlooking the coast could not be bettered - and enjoying it whilst tucking into an excellent buffet breakfast was great. We will definitely return.

Great position

The hotel was was very dated and I'm afraid to say not in a charming way. Our room was very small and the view from the window was of the flat roof which was in terrible condition and full of bits of broken roof and dirty puddles of water, it was very insightful. The room we were allocated was right at the top of a creaky staircase and so very noisy and we could clearly hear the people talking in the room next door. I found the hotel a bit depressing and the pictures do not represent it

Stayed for 1 night with our grandchildren its a great location right opposite a good family beach. Facilities for children were very good play areas inside and outside with an indoor pool (didn't actually use it) plenty of sitting room areas for quite relaxation or busy bar area. Nice outdoor seating overlooking the sea. Hotel was busy with guests. Staff very helpful, restaurant food was good although a little overpriced, but catered for childrens needs. rooms are a bit tired and both inside and outside hotel is a bit tired, but would definitely stay there again.
