Clean room, friendly and helpful staff alot of great cuisine options

Our stay at SLS Baha Mar had both positives and negatives. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation and made great memories, but the service issues stood out because they did not match the expectations of a luxury resort at this price point. The property itself is beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service was extremely inconsistent. While we encountered some amazing employees, those experiences were the exception. Many interactions involved poor attitudes, lack of urgency, and little attention to guests. For example, ordering a simple breakfast of a croissant and two yogurt parfaits (nearly $60), the cashier responded with “What do you want?” in a very dismissive tone. At Baha Bay, Guest Services gave directions without the employee even looking up from her phone. We also had to call four times for ice delivery, which cut into our beach time, and housekeeping did not arrive until almost 4 p.m. We paid for an ocean view room but did not receive an actual ocean view, and the front desk showed little interest in resolving it. We also had restaurant reservation issues where no one took ownership to help fix the problem. We do not mind spending money on vacations—the issue was paying luxury prices while receiving service that did not match. On the positive side, the food quality was excellent, towels were easy to get with no extra charge, and Baha Bay Water Park was a highlight for our 3½-year-old daughter. It was clean, well maintained, and had lifeguards throughout

Way too expensive but very clean

From the time I got there, the bellhops to the front desk to housekeeping and for the duration of my trip I couldn’t ask for a more friendlier and helpful staff. It made this experience that much more pleasant. Thank u SLS, I would definitely comeback there again

The hotel is beautiful and has everything you need for a family vacation. It is also a wonderful destination for couples. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future. Beach 10/10. That said, I believe the staff could improve their customer service. Most employees were not very friendly, rarely smiled, and often did not greet guests, even after being greeted first. For a hotel of this caliber, I would expect a warmer and more welcoming experience. Additional customer service training would make a significant difference. The hotel is also quite expensive. While the property and amenities are excellent, nearly everything comes at a high price. Overall, despite the service and cost, I enjoyed my stay and would return because of the beautiful property and everything it has to offer.

Expensive food & drinks

The property is beautiful however, after repeated requests prior to our trip and during our trip for a refrigerator, we were ignored. We needed it for medicine so we had to keep getting ice at the Monkey Bar. Also I’m recommending that the SLS provide the water bottles like the Rosewood and Hyatt. We will go back to the Hyatt our next visit.

Amazing experience

We had a great time in the Bahamas, but unfortunately, I will never stay at this hotel again. The staff was consistently rude, the prices were excessive, and getting help with even the simplest requests was nearly impossible. They charge gratuity on something as basic as bottled water, yet they don’t even offer beach service. This was actually my second stay because I wanted to give the hotel another chance, but it simply wasn’t worth it. The food was very good, but that’s expected considering the prices. We stayed for a week, and while we’ll absolutely be returning to the Bahamas, we will not be staying at SLS again. If you’re going to advertise yourselves as a 5-star luxury resort, you should provide the level of service and hospitality that guests expect. Sadly, this hotel fell far short of that standard.
