Staff, breakfast, rooms, quietness, all was excellent. At double the price it would still be excellent. As long as the location suits you there is literally nothing I can or would complain about. Rarely have I ever been pleased with a hotel. This is a huge exception. I will absolutely stay again if the location suits me.

Such a great stay! Super friendly staff, especially Luis who helped with getting set up on apps to make travel in China so easy! The pool looked amazing although ran out of time to enjoy it.

I recently stayed at the Shanghai Marriot for a business trip to China. My stay was extremely pleasant and I cannot find any fault with the accomodation, staff or food during my stay. I had a great breakfast every morning with lots of options and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and courteous to me. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The property is new. There is a slight smell coming from the new interior decoration. It may not be notable to others but I am very sensitive to such smells. Also, blood stain was spotted near the toilet, totally unacceptable.

The kitchen of this hotel is so poorly run! First day, club sandwich took 45 minutes to make, fries came out cold to the touch. Second day, ordered oatmeal from the menu, out of oatmeal. Third day, ordered hummus from the menu, out of hummus. Fourth day, go to brunch. All dishes severely picked over or out. Air conditioning blowing so hard over the egg buffet station, gross! Four chefs in the middle of the kitchen chatting and looking at WeChat like they have nothing else to do during brunch at 10 am on a Sunday. Management and service people need to be retrained, or hotel should lose its franchise. Worst Marriott I have ever stayed at.

The room, the price is quite good. However what is lacking is the staff. First, during check in. The attendant cannot find my booking name and was trying to get me to find the booking number. She was also being quite rude to me. It turns out that she misspelt my name. Check out was okay. However, there was no staff at the bell counter to call for the taxi. There was only 1 receptionist so I had to wait for a long time to call for the taxi.
