I'm traveling through France now and I miss the warm vibes of this hostel - the guys who run and work here are super friendly and helpful. I would say this is one of the most laid back spots I've visited in all the hostels I've been around. The rooms are fine but the sinks inside the room is a pau faux for me, as i can imagine high season could be a watery mess. The basque area is so chill and with good food I don't think is rarely matched elsewhere for what you pay for. The groceries here and stuff are high quality compared to what I've seen elsewhere though Bilbao has more shops for variety of fruit and nuts. What I like is the owner has put a bunch of hikes on their website with where to go and stuff. The butcher shop across the street is very good and their cheese I enjoyed a decent price for. Breakfast is good, abundant fruit - I don't eat anything else for breakfast so it's nice they provide that. Kitchen is almost industrial grade with whatever you need to cook for. In high season I wouldn't visit I can imagine this place is packed but for the time I was there the laid back vibes of Northern Spain and it's people will always be cherished 💜
Couple of not so good things ; sinks, there isn't enough bathrooms if I was here in full season I wouldn't stay , I've noticed more and more hotels becoming hostels and they have one large handicap bathroom upstairs but showers just one inside a unit for six people, not sure about that same one toilet though you can find a spare downstairs
