What can I say about Rio Claro? It's a true gem for those seeking a completely relaxing and unpretentious vacation.
I stayed in a single room for a relaxing week in complete solitude. The room is spacious, the bathroom is large, and it has all the amenities (for example, the power outlet next to the bed, which is something not all hotels realize is a plus).
The entire hotel (room and common areas) is always spotless and smells great.
Breakfast, as many have written, is amazing, with a different dessert every day.
But the added value comes from Pierluca: an attentive, thoughtful, discreet host and an excellent conversation partner, who fully conveys the care he has for the hotel and his desire to make his guests feel at home, creating a truly communal atmosphere.
The sea is a 5-10 minute walk (depending on your pace 😊) alongside canals with boats and ducks.
Points of attention, which aren't negative but, in my opinion, are needed to provide a complete picture:
- The hotel is located on a roundabout overlooking Via Flacca: to get to the beach, you have to cross it, but it's in a highly visible location, so it's easy.
- The terrace area in the upstairs rooms is shared, so you might have to spend time "together" with your neighbors. This, in my opinion, is a strong point, highlighting the hotel's community aspect, but some might not appreciate it.
In short, Rio Claro is relaxation and family, and I hope to return soon.
