The location of the hotel is central to everything. There is no better location in Oslo. Our room was large and bright. It was very clean and luxurious. We enjoyed every minute we spent in it. The bed was very comfortable, the turn down service included little cookies left for us for when we returned from our day out. The breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was the nicest breakfast we’ve ever had included in a hotel stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is in a great location and has a lot of charm. Their rooms were very nice and the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Our only complaint was the construction next door - the noise wasn’t too bad with windows closed but we were not informed about this when booking.

AC stopped working, we were moved to a smaller room, AC was "okay", but not great. I realize this is not a big thing for Europe in the past, but I believe they will need to improve. Nice staff. Fantastic location.

Great hotel, location and staff! We have been traveling through Scandinavia for the last 2 weeks and this has, by far, been our favorite hotel. It is just beautiful, the location is perfect and the staff is just great. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful heritage hotel in a fantastic location Amerikalinjen is a beautifully restored hotel that has transformed a century-old office building into a stylish and character-filled place to stay. Its location couldn’t be more convenient, next to Oslo Central Station, making it an ideal base for exploring the city and beyond. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to assist with our requests. I also appreciated the spacious, well-equipped fitness centre, which was one of the better hotel gyms we’ve used. The only disappointment was our Superior Room. Despite the premium category, the ventilation was inadequate, making the room uncomfortably warm at night and resulting in poor sleep on both nights of our stay. This is something that really needs to be addressed, as it detracted from an otherwise very enjoyable experience. Overall, I would recommend Amerikalinjen for its location, heritage, service, and facilities, but I hope management can improve the room ventilation to match the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
