the staff was very nice and helpful. the hotel is beautiful. there are A LOT of stairs, but dont let it deter you unless you are unable to climb multiple flights. The beds are VERY firm, but it seems like all of them in Italy are. The only thing that I would change was the breakfast. It's not included and its minimal. We chose to eat breakfast other places for variety and cost comparison.

The room looked absolutely nothing like the picture provided. Our window overlooked the storage area outside for chairs etc. the location is very good near St Mark Square, unfortunately that was the only saving grace. The bed was rough. For the price, I would look elsewhere, 2 nights in Sept with the city tax and all said and done was nearly $650 USD.

The small but new bathroom, good position in ka zone, the habitation should be modernize, the plugs in poor states little light. The sleeping blanket should not cover it and has a bad sensation to the body. The staff very professional.

The hotel has a good location, very close to restaurants and important sites. The decor is frightening. From the moment you walk in, the bad smell is very strong. The smell of damp inside the room is overwhelming. It's very noisy inside the hotel. There's no elevator. And something very strange is that you have to leave your room keys at reception; you have no privacy

Location was perfect fo exploring San Marco. A lot of dining options and close to historic sites

It was a great stay, super convenient location. Place is outdated but just to sleep, it’s perfect. The AC worked really well, specially in the warm nights and after long day of walking, it felt refreshing. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly.

Someone broke the lock on my luggage. When I complained about this, the owner didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t feel safe.

Loved our 3 night stay at Hotel Castello. Our positive experience staying at this hotel definitely contributed to our fabulous vacation. I would stay again!

Average. Old. No oven, no fridge, no iron in the room. Just walkable to nearby areas and split works fine. Old rooms, old carpets. Staff is helpful and humble.

The staff are great! Super close to San Marco Able to leave my bags safely after checkout. Decor dated but the price is good. Have been happy with our stay.

It is okay

A lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Venetian style old rooms, with comfy beds of which were all cleaned and made each day. My only concern was just how thin the walls were. We could literally hear whole conversations, mobile phones, and pretty much everything else. I would advise ear plugs if I was to return.
