Ótimo hotel, muito limpo, bem organizado. A localização também é muito boa, os atendentes são simpáticos e bem educados. Sobre o café da manhã, é uma mesa cheia e com bastante variedades, tudo muito bom! Tivemos uma ótima estadia!

I booked and prepaid for a 10-day stay at Hotel Europa, but I left after just one night and forfeited the rest of my reservation because the conditions were unacceptable. The room was not just outdated—it was dirty and poorly maintained to a level that felt unsanitary. The mattress was visibly stained, the furniture was covered in dust and residue, and multiple surfaces looked like they had not been properly cleaned in a long time. The bathroom had rust, grime, and buildup in several areas, and there was a persistent moldy smell throughout the room. Even the basic structure of the room felt neglected, including damaged fixtures and a door that did not feel secure. The overall condition made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe staying there. Because of this, I had to find another hotel immediately, which caused unnecessary stress and additional expense during my trip. I have included photos to document the condition of the room at the time of my stay. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid booking here, especially for longer stays. The listing does not accurately reflect the reality of the accommodations.

its an ok propeety to stay in not much confort

Rooms on the small size and bathrooms need some improves. Cleaning was ok. And the service is good. I think the Breakfast is pretty good. A good variety for all kind of taste. I found a promotion anf for what I paid was ok, otherwise I would have find it overpriced.

The room was very poorly furnished. Just the very minimum in everything: no paper towels, for example. Unbearable the traffic noise during the nights: the buildings around the Colonia St. make like a resonating box that ten-folds the traffic noise. The thin-glassed windows and the blinds are incapable to shield the room from that noise. By the way, the external plastic blinds were very dirty Breakfast only serves cold items. It has some variety but for a long stay becomes monotonous and repetitive: always the same kind of cheese, the same kind of salami, de same kind of cakes, etc. You´ll miss soon something hot: some bacon strips, an omelette, a couple of fried eggs. But nothing of that kind was never available.

Os funcionrios nao sao muito simpaticos. Te tratam com o minimo de atencao. A porta de entrada do hotel toca uma sirene alta e estridente que pode ser ouvida do quarto, entao isso incomoda muito. Nao sei como os proprios funcionarios nao enloquecem com esse barulho o dia todo.

The hotel needs a renovation in everything. Rooms, bathrooms , sheets, blankeds . The staff was really Nice, and the breakfeast was amazing.

We were disappointed as soon as we arrived at Hotel Europa, walking from the taxi through marijuana smoke to the front door, which was already locked at 7.30pm. On reaching our room we decided to move to another hotel due to the overall musty smell, basic cleanliness & facilities - these fell far short of the description of the room on Hotels.com. We advised the receptionist of our decision to leave & she was most annoyed. We told her that we understood the hotel's cancellation policy "that any change after 11.59pm the previous day would incur the first night's charge plus fees & taxes". We asked that she cancel the remaining three nights of our four night stay, & refund us the difference, but she refused. I contacted Hotels.com via chat, however, they were apparently unable to contact the hotel's management & obtain a refund for the remaining three nights. Hotels.com subsequently informed us that there would be no refund. I replied to the Hotels.com email outlining that our refund request was in line with Hotel Europa's own cancellation policy & requesting a review of our case - I'm still awaiting a response 3 days later. MOST DISAPPOINTED WITH BOTH HOTEL EUROPA & HOTELS.COM - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL ROUND!!👎☹️

Every time I go to Montevideo I stay at Hotel Europa. Friendly staff, very clean and convenient location.
