We stayed for three nights in a Superior Room. The room was large and comfortable. It was cold but we'd been given a heater that we did appreciate. The bathroom was large and well equipped. I think generally for India though it was expensive. It's living off it's old reputation a bit. But we picked it because basically everyone recommended it from the Man in Seat 61 to my mothers best friend. The grounds were lovely. Breakfast was good (buffet style). I wasn't impressed too much by the evening meal. I thought it was too expensive. And it was held by candlelight - it was so dark I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu... Overall - it was good, not excellent. If I went back I'd choose somewhere else, because we've done this now, but I'm glad we stayed there this time.

It’s a beautiful

The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill.

We chose this hotel for its colonial history and it mef all our expectations. We had dinner in their restaurant, and although the place was quiet (only one other table was occupied) the food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Haunted, mould in the room, broken toilet, broken shower area, will not advise anyone. Expedia should take this hotel off
