Tough to get to but nice parking area. Google Maps takes you the wrong way so lookout. My room heater didn’t work and the lights in the bedrooms area didn’t work so had to depend on the glow from the bathroom light which did work. One of two small night stands didn’t work and the one that did had a short circuit so it went on and off. Breakfast was really weak but a very nice effort. This is a small place so it’s great if your expectations are in proper alignment. Location is fantastic. Staff very friendly.

If you want to see a traditional Albanian home that is now a hotel this is the place to go to. The staff are wonderful! Beautiful outdoor area for relaxing or having a drink. It’s a truly magical place. I’m definitely coming back!!

We stayed 1 night in a triple room. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good and offered a good variety including made to order eggs. The hotel is a short walk from the old Bazaar and offers amazing views of Gjirokaster, we could see the castle from our room.

Stayed family room. Roomy and clean. Feel like back to the past of Ottoman era that is decorated with. located near Old town 5 mins away. Parking place privided in the property.

Was upgraded to the second hotel of the group in the city. Only problem was it was hard to find, because a road was closed. A hotel employee found my car and took me there. Great service!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Kalemi. Staff were delightful, kind and went above and beyond and we enjoyed the local doughnuts provided at breakfast and the freshly made eggs in the morning. Highly recommended!

The location was superb. Its right in the middle of everything you want to see and do. The staff (Irving and Denis) were outstanding.

Spent two nights here. It's a beautiful old ottoman house. It's located near the bazaar which is where everything happens in Gjirokastër. Like all over Gjirokastër it's up a very steep hill. Our taxi driver from the bus station couldn't drive up on the first few attempts. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is fine. It's served in the garden. Each table receives a tray of tea, coffee, juice, bread, jam, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese and watermelon. There is then an option of eggs cooked to order. Didn't have much interaction with the host. He confirmed the time of the bus to Berat and ordered a taxi to the bus stop.

Beautiful little boutique hotel . All furnishings are set in a traditional manner. Beautifully renovated bathrooms for modern conveniences. The view from the room or balcony is stunning. Staff is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to bazaar, a large variety of bars, cafes, and restaurants and of course the castle. I highly recommend this quaint little place.

Old Ottoman style hotel and wonderful staff. The only weak point is too slow (/poor) wifi signal. Wonderful view and easy parking which is a real challenge in busy Gjirokaster [especially Summer time!]

Beautiful views of the city, a comfortable room, nice breakfast. I only stayed one night and wished it had been longer. Authentic Albanian decor and helpful service. Would definitely recommend.
