I have never booked a B&B before and now I know why. Smallest room I’ve ever had. No one there to greet us for about half an hour. Old, dated and poorly maintained. Toilet holder off the wall. Shower head and hose just kind of hanging in the shower and don’t step near the drains because it feels like you will go through the floor. No room to put any luggage anywhere without blocking the door. All this for $321.30. I’m 65 and this was the worst room ever. B&B should stand for Buyer Beware. I’ve never felt so ripped off.

Tout es à une distance de quelques minutes de marche. La famille propriétaire de l’endroit est très sympathique et flexible . De plus, leur garçon a fait un travail exceptionnel lors de notre arrivée. Nous y retournerons, c’est certain.

Great place to stay in Tadoussac for one or two nights

The host was charming and the room small but clean. The location was convenient for walking through the town.

Clean comfortable room and shared bathroom. Clean dining area with kettle we could use. Friendly hostess who explained the town layout and where to buy food and where nice walks and beaches were. She also recommended a fantastic fish restaurant which we went to. Very convenient for the whale watching boats and a headland you could watch whales from. Beautiful area.

Such a beautiful home right in the centre of the town. The owners were very kind and accommodating and Miriam was a delight. The rooms were homely and comfortable and I would happily return again and again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gîte au Vieux Pommier! The living room was cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake. Even though we had a shared bathroom, it was always clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable. The host was truly exceptional—warm, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home and brighten your day with their kindness and energy. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the heart of Tadoussac. We can’t recommend this place enough. If you're visiting Tadoussac, Gîte au Vieux Pommier is the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and warm hospitality. - three of kind

We had a wonderful 5 day stay! This is a great little spot in the heart to Tadoussac within walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants, excursions etc. The hostess was very welcoming and you can tell she takes pride in everything she does. She gave us tips on things to do and places to go and she or her family was there is we needed anything. We were away from home but it felt like we were still at home to some degree. This little treasure was a nice find, clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit Tadoussac.

Gite au Vieux Pommier was the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful town of Tadoussac. The gracious hosts made us feel welcome in the shared living spaces and the updated rooms offered every amenity we could have hoped for. The hotel is conveniently located and allowed us to easily walk to the harbour front, Hotel Tadoussac and the Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre. If you are thinking about visiting Tadoussac, I highly recommend Gite Au Vieux Pommier, as you certainly will not be disappointed.

Not actually a bed and breakfast - no breakfast included or on site. The description at time of booking said breakfast was included, which was our main reason for booking this over others. It is actually a paid breakfast ($~50) at a location a short drive away. That said, the host was lovely and the space was very clean and central to Tadoussac. Just needs an updated description!

The owners were very welcoming and generous. I highly recommend staying in this lovely spot which is close to everything in Tadoussac!
