I’ve stayed at this hotel more than four times over the past two years because it’s very close to my company’s head office in Semarang. The location is definitely one of its biggest advantages. It’s situated in the city center, with easy access to shopping malls and popular attractions like Lawang Sewu and Semarang Old Town. Pros * Excellent strategic location in the heart of Semarang. * Clean and fresh-smelling rooms. * Cold and reliable air conditioning. * Friendly and helpful staff. * Smoking rooms are available, which is a great option for smokers even though the hotel doesn’t have balconies. Cons * The TV is quite outdated and doesn’t support Netflix, Disney+, or international channels. * There is no 24-hour restaurant, and room service is no longer available after around 8:00 PM. * The breakfast is fairly average and doesn’t offer great value for the additional cost. Recommendation I recommend booking the Room Only rate, especially if you can find it for under IDR 300,000 per night. It’s a much better value than paying extra for the breakfast package, which is quite ordinary. Overall, I think this is what you would expect from a typical 3-star hotel. While the facilities are fairly basic, the cleanliness, friendly service, and excellent location make it a hotel I continue to return to whenever I visit Semarang.

Check-in was late at night and the service was excellent. I booked two rooms, although one had a noisy exhaust fan and a manual lock. However, the hotel is centrally located and close to the bus stop. Cleanliness and food were quite good. Recommended for anyone passing through Semarang.

Criticism.. what needs to be fixed is the female staff, especially the one who greeted us in the lobby, named Gita (if I remember correctly). This is really unprofessional. There are guests who come but are not immediately welcomed or at least greeted "Good afternoon, how can I help you, sir/madam/sis". We came because she was still taking a call so we sat waiting for her to finish the call. After the call, she immediately pouted and focused on typing for a long time on the computer until the security code was coded and it was very clear that Ms. Gita answered "SEK MAS". Okay, because she answered that way, maybe she was still very busy so I chose to stay quiet and sit in the lobby. Eh, there was a woman who came straight to CS and was served. The one who had been waiting was not greeted or anything like that.. When it was my turn to go forward, talk, the service was not very good, rude, did not look the customer in the eye, the explanation was careless, really not at all... It was really a shame because I have been a regular / often polled every time I come to Semarang and this was the first time I received such poor lobby service. When served by the small lady, she was still quite friendly, and the male staff was also friendly. Maybe she was busy, but greeting guests in less than 30 minutes wasn't difficult, after all, I paid and booked many rooms, brought many guests, so I felt awkward with my guests.. even though Citradream has never had service like this in any city. And one more thing, please, can there be slippers in the room? Is it true that there is only one? The room is for 2 people, why should they only give one slipper?

The hotel is very strategically located, all the facilities are functioning, comfortable, I will stay here again if I go to Semarang.
