An unpleasant experience. We booked for two adults and one child (15 years old). The disappointment was that upon check-in, the hotel policy stated the maximum age for children was 12 years old, while the app listed 17 years old. The hotel couldn't provide a solution, so we ended up looking for another hotel nearby with a cheaper room rate.
This has been confirmed with Traveloka, and they are currently investigating the matter. Hopefully, they can provide a solution and compensation.
As a suggestion, the regulations regarding the child age policy should be clarified with hotels that partner with Traveloka to avoid disadvantageous customers, especially for long-distance trips with significant exchange rates.
Everyone who wants to travel has already set a budget. We trust Traveloka because of its easy process of searching for flights/hotels/etc., and the ability to pay in installments with PayLater, which is very helpful.
Hopefully, these issues will be addressed and the service will be further improved.
