Nice place to stay

Spacious bedroom. Grass area to exercise dogs staying with you but nothing else provided. Needs maintenance and cleaning inside and out. Benches rickety and planters full of weeds. Shower in room needs full replacement due to timescale build up, damaged tiles, mould and dirt making the shower unusable during our stay. Noise does transfer between the rooms out in the car park building. Breakfast offer was not edible due to having been frozen in the bread and simply left to defrost for guests. Would suggest a rate of closer to £50 a night not £80+ for such accommodation. An informative and welcoming check in.

Large room, fridge with milk, water and orange juice, plus cereals for breakfast. Separate annex with access to garden for dogs was perfect.

While the room was cheap it wasn’t very clean the shower was filthy the windows was filthy the vinyl the soap dispensers was very dirty, had a hand towel with the edges all frailed at the ends no light as you come out the room onto the landing I was left a soft brown banana that was left for the breakfast two days in a row and a slight brown apple . The breakfast sandwich was a cold defrosted bacon and sausage sandwich with the date it was frozen or defrosted on it I can’t remember. I’ve stayed in several places that cost the same that was very clean with a continental style breakfast. I know it was low budget but never expected that.

Great place especially for the price I paid and that included a breakfast :) had a mini fridge, desk, staff were excellent and the room was clean. I would stay again.

room was freezing cold, even with heating on. couldn’t alter the shower temperature due to the thermostat not working, it was stuck on boiling hot. bed very uncomfortable, impossible to sleep through the night.

Room tired, needs a refresh.

Room dusty and pillow cases and towels seem better days, could do with a few things freshened up.

Fast check, very helpful and friendly staff. Food in the pub was good and well priced. Accommodation was good and had everything I needed for my stay. The stay was well worth the price paid.

Excellent stay, the room was very comfortable I had a great sleep. The food in the bar was also excellent, a very good pork chop.

Well what a load of rubbish, breakfast is a cold bacon sausage sandwich in the fridge with cornflakes and banana.Towels had a damp smell on them,Definitely won’t be staying here again

Quiet friendly place with food that wasn't bad. Off the beaten track but that suited me. A very cold night and even with extra heater was still nippy. Couldn't recommend in winter.

Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation. The bed was kingsize, the room had alot of space, a fridge, hot chocolate as well as the usual tea and coffee. My breakfast was in the room (see pictures). Edit - the pictures won't upload! I arrived too late to use the restaurant but the menu was varied and looked like the meals were good value - maybe next time...

Needs to make it clearer in the details that the restaurant does not operate on a Monday (and no local takeaways) & that the breakfast is sort of continental in the room. Single room in main building is small but adequate, small fridge (but noisy). Bed not very comfy. Will not be staying here again

The girls/women were really helpful, friendly and polite. The food was delicious and a great portion. The bar was warm with a good atmosphere. The chalet we had was clean, warm and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable.

Easy check in at the bar and a friendly welcome. Car park was big enough to find a space at the rear. Room was clean and cosy, and I slept soundly. DIY breakfast in the room, though hot meals available for those planning a longer stay. Good, honest establishment and great value for money.
