Evrything excellent

Always stay at this hotel in hofn. Food is great and workers are so nice and chatty.

Our stay was really great. It became possible, because of amazing people here. We weren’t aware that there is no public transportation or even taxi around. We don’t drive… Our dream trip was about to end without beginning… But kind big heart Alexandra helped us and drove us to Crystal ice cave meeting point and back! Overall, when our flight was canceled and we were about to cry, Ms Veronica offered to drive us to Reykjavik (which is six-seven hours to drive from here!)… I don’t have a words to fully thank those people! I can’t imagine what could we do without them?! Hotel Hofn is small, clean, beautiful with delicious food in their restaurant. I want everyone knows how good it is! I will write everywhere my story. I hope and wish prosperity and happiness for people who have a heart! Maria Morozova.

Very friendly staff and incredibly accommodating after our flight was cancelled they went above and beyond to arrange a room for another night. They didn’t have to do this but made us feel very welcome and we very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

We booked a “standard room” at Hotel Höfn through Expedia. Upon arrival — on a completely snowy day — we discovered that our room was not in the main building but across the street, meaning we had to go outside in freezing weather every time we wanted to access the breakfast area or other common spaces. This important detail was not clearly mentioned anywhere in the room description. The photos on Expedia’s listing also did not match the room we received — especially the bathroom, which was completely different. When we asked the hotel if we could move to a room in the main building, they told us everything was fully booked. We contacted Expedia expecting some help, but their response was simply that the hotel refused the refund and that there was “nothing more they could do.” It’s very disappointing that Expedia doesn’t take responsibility when listings are misleading. We have used Expedia many times before, but this experience makes us question how much they actually verify the accuracy of the properties they advertise. Travelers deserve transparency — especially when conditions like this can make a stay so uncomfortable.

Fantastic pizza! Good customer service and very efficient. Rooms are simple, clean and decent. Kettle provided. Breakfast is sufficient. Dining area is well sized. Rooms are nice and warm. I would stay again

Very nice quaint hotel with lovely ambiance.

Excellent service, clean room, safe, and quiet. This place checked all of the boxes for me and even had a hotel kitty that I got to pet. Breakfast had an amazing spread and stayed well stocked. Interactions with the hotel staff were all nice and accommodating. This was a great place to choose to stay. We absolutely loved staying at this property.

Such a lovely and very clean hotel. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant on site was delicious. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood close to the water and has plenty of gas stations, places to eat and a shopping center with a pharmacy. Plenty of parking and a good breakfast buffet and staff. Hotel has plenty of sitting areas to look out at the ocean or to get out of the room.

Clean room, breakfast was included in our rate and great breakfast-very helpful check in.

It was okay but room was dated and not great beds

I wish they have lift (elevator). Our room was on second floor, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Bathroom facilities are dated. Clean but old. Feel more like BnB instead of a hotel. Breakfast dining is good.
