Hotel was disappointing

Could do with a bit of love spent on the gardens, they have a gem..but it’s not looked after!

Not very good property tired and in need of a referb so disappointed I left Chester day early

Cold welcome. Disgusting bathroom - I ran a bath and it was yellow and scummy. I had to find a cleaner to help me out, because the phone in the room didn’t work (however, the cleaner was lovely). Filthy windows. Tatty bed covering. All in all, it feels like a faded glory kind of situation. In the end I drove home rather than sleep there. The place just has a weird vibe.

Staff were friendly but found breakfast service poor. Had to ask for everything not attended to

Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, but needs some updating. Thete was plenty of space for more drawers for clothes, a table/ rack for a suitcase , and a small table between the chairs would have been useful. The pool and spa area was excellent. The gardens are lovely. The restaurant was heavily influenced by spice - too much for older taste buds, but the chef was accommodating!

The hotel was clean, staff pleasant. The pool was nice. Breakfast is £16.00 for continental a further £5.00 extra for a cooked Breakfast.

Excellent staff. Very attentive and professional. Hotel is a great location, quiet and away from a main road. Lots of character. Spa, Gym, and Pool all a great surprise.

The staff are all lovely and a real credit to the hotel, the master suite we stayed in was clean ,comfortable and warm

Nice room , friendly staff and tasty breakfast.

Had a fantastic stay. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. Facilities were wonderful. Only issue was that my room was very cold by the time I returned in the evening. I noticed an electric radiator but didn't think I would need to turn it on - a little heads up at reception to turn it on low for a few hours would have been great.
