I was disappointed. As a former resident of Kongsvinger I happen to know that this used to be the very best Hotel in the town. It can now only be described as 'tired'. The staff were courteous, but not especially customer oriented. Room was comfortable, but not what I expected of a higher end hotel. The sauna was good, but the pool was very cold. Breakfast on day 1 was interesting as the yoghurt placed on the buffet had gone off. Not the very best advertisement for Kongsvinger.

No hair dryer or sufficient electrical outlets

Find something else, even a tent. Totally unworthy of the price charged. The room is tiny/claustrophobic. I have stayed in B&B with larger rooms and better condition. The toilet is next to the bed, with a cover that is impossible to cover without a loud bang and a door that does not close, it just barely shields the view. When I complained upon arrival, I was told "all rooms are the same and the place is being slowly re-modelled". They should close the place until the remodeling is done. The breakfast was OK, but not enough to save this review. If anyone from EXPEDIA visited the place, they would have taken off the list. SHAME EXPEDIA, you can do better!

We had to change rooms. The toilet in the bathroom was dirty had not been cleaned. I complained and got another room. That room and bathroom were clean. We hope it was a one time mistake.

Everything was amazing, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Bar menu is very limited. Lots of dogs stayed last night, got a bit noisy.

We were stuck in Kongsvinger for a day due to confusion on train reroute for track maintenance on ticket from Oslo to Stockholm. We booked this hotel when we found out we'd be stranded for a day with the kids. Hotel was great about accommodating our 2 adult, 2 child family in one of the only 2 twin bed rooms left and added a fold out bed.

Vände i dörren, såg inte fräscht ut

Kjedelig frokost, iskaldt basseng og fryktelige garderober. Lav standard på rom, heis og ellers resten av bygget. Hadde forventet mye mer.

Slitent hotell. Lite imøtekommende resepsjonist. Heisen virker ikke.

Et gammelt nedslitt hotell, som sårt trenger oppussing. God frokost.

Det var et veldig gammelt hotel og det luktet vondt/gammelt. Veldig hard seng. Frokosten var veldig dårlig, dårlig utvalg og serverte bare traktet kaffe- savnet kaffemaskin.. Ville anbefalt et annet hotell om dere skal overnatte i Kongsvinger!

Heis ikke i drift siste år. Ikke bra for de som sliter med ben/ knær osv som sliter med trapper

God frokost og hyggelig service

Dålig senger. Lite utvalg på frokosten. For varmt vann eller iskald gikk ikke å regulere temperaturen. Kaldt rom mye trekk fra vinduet.

Rask innsjekking Kaldt rom. Iskaldt bad. Ble ikke varmere selv om jeg skrudde opp varmen.
