Lovely hotel, very comfortable.

Amazing stay and that alone doesn’t do it justice. Hidden gem - location, location, location. It’s quite difficult to believe this is a three star when in fact everything about it far exceeds anything we’ve experienced at 4+ locations. We will be back and highly recommend to anyone considering visiting Kyoto. You won’t be dissapointed.

Staff was delightful and wanted to make sure you were happy. Free drinks during your stay and bread available in the am. Best of all free laundry.

Hotel is quite pretty, we enjoyed our stay here. Room felt small but quaint. Some rooms have no windows (our room was one of these). Bathroom felt spacious and modern. Hotel has laundry (free) and simple spa services that can be booked. Location is very good, walking distance from a few large temples in Kyoto, with good bus connectivity to many of the other key / well known attractions in Kyoto.

Since they were eco-friendly the rooms were never cleaned, the trash was never removed and clean towels were left outside your door.

Laundry service would be better if have in the room. Wait too long to use it in the evening/nighttime. Also, the dryer is not efficient in drying the clothes & the laundry room is too stuffy/hot (no ventilation). Other than that, the room is very nice & spacious. We appreciate the free water bottles, drinks (juices, beers), snacks, tea bags & coffee pods), tea kettle, coffee maker & other amenities.

Hands down the best place I stayed in my trip to Japan. Incredible and accommodating staff, excellent facilities and very convenient location. We took a full advantage of the spa, it was a lovely treat after long days of sightseeing. Highly recommend!

Spectacular hotel with staff being wonderful. The location is perfect for doing dang near anything in Kyoto.

We enjoyed the location, was easily in walking distance to many areas we planned to visit, but was very quiet within the area. The staff was fantastic and helpful. The property was beautiful! We booked the room with private open airbath and spa room, massage chair, everything was great and made widing down after walking all day worth it. I was shockes by the amenities, lots of free beverages stocked in the room. Offered happy hour with many more beverage offerings. Will definitely book again for any future visits.

We absolutely loved the hotel. Great location, very quiet inside away from the tourist crowds and yet very easily accessible to old temples and shrines and shopping. The staff was great, room very nice and comfortable. Would stay there again!

We had a great stay at the Gion Hotel in Kyoto, the location was perfect for exploring temples, shops, and the historic streets of Gion. The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

A lovely, serene hotel in the middle of Gion. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The fourth floor lounge and the private onsen rooms are great as well.

Staff were very friendly, spacious rooms surprisingly. Very clean and they give you free drinks in the mini bar and snacks! Premium bathroom amenities (Loccitane!). Overall a great stay!

This hotel is one notch above a true scam. Non-existent service from staff. Rooms were spacious but had no windows or natural light.

Probably the best hotel we ever stayed at. Everything was amazing, clean, friendly staff and the hotel is so beautiful. Coming back next year but more nights !!!
