Wonderful staff and impeccable hotel.

What a beautiful hotel and unforgettable experience. Our room was incredibly serene and peaceful, creating the perfect retreat after exploring Kyoto. The staff graciously accommodated our request for a vegan breakfast and completely exceeded our expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. The team at MOGANA made our very first trip to Kyoto truly special. Thank you all for your exceptional hospitality and for creating such wonderful memories.

We had a balcony but it would have been nice to sit out but no chairs also no wedge to keep the door open. The privacy curtain was slightly stained and needed cleaning. It took us five days before we noticed there was no tv! All the staff were great and so helpful with booking restaurants and taxis. We enjoyed the reasonably priced western breakfast.

Loved our breakfast each morning in our room and loved the intimate bar. Really cool hotel.

Phenomenal stay, the most accommodating staff and beautiful room.

The breakfast was amazing and the staff was able to adapt the menu to accommodate my daughter’s many food allergies. We had two sinks, a giant bathtub and a private balcony. It was in a quiet, but accessible neighborhood near the Nijo Palace. Special shout out to Dodi, who was a great resource for sightseeing and dining out.

Better than I could have imagined, from the room, to the staff, everything was perfect. I don’t think I could say enough good things. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to stay here.

The room was quiet, clean and very modern with good amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Additionally, there is a bar on the second floor with an excellent bartender. Each drink was crafted artfully and with care.

Room was impeccable, the Japanese breakfast was amazing. There are coffee shops, convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It is located in a quiet street but not far from the tourist spots. Beautiful architecture, excellent service! It is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I have stayed in.

We stayed at Mogana from September 27th 2025- September 30th 2025. The hotel is beautiful, very modern as we had expected. Everything super clean and neat, in excellent condition. We received amazing customer service from Dodi & his team from the very beginning as it wax my 50th birthday treat from my husband. Dodi kindly arranged all my birthday surprises with my husband and everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect. The best hotel and service we’ve received in any hotel we’ve ever stayed at! Very highly recommended.

We stayed in a few hotels during our stay in Tokyo and Kyoto and this one was our favourite. Super modern with fantastic service and facilities. Spacious room with all the mod cons, beautiful amenities, treats, big bath & shower etc. Lemon cake and welcome drink on arrival. Fruit juices, water, soda water in fridge replenished each day. Drip coffee was cool - even loved the kettle! Big comfy bed, lounge area. Two choices of slippers - usual white ones and some japanese. Even had a dyson hairdryer. Was a few blocks from station - maybe one closer, we didnt check! Enjoyed wandering the area. Yum restaurants nearby, 7/11, Lawsons closeby. Our favourite souvenirs were from local craft store pretty much next door. Will stay again for sure! This hotel is stunning!
