My experience at the Canary Ark Hotel was very disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The room was extremely small, and the bed was in poor condition it felt unstable, made a lot of noise with any movement, and sank in the middle, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall cleanliness was below standard. The floors and surfaces were dirty, and the room had a strong smell of weed, which was both unexpected and unpleasant. I did not feel that the stay was worth the money, and I would not consider returning.

Room was incredibly basic. No air conditioning, no batteries in the remote control, no cutlery or any plates despite having a stove, microwave and fridge / freezer. The Ark at Wembley is a far better stay.

Really good amenities/facilities, great location next to station. Everything you need for short or long stays.

I was not allowed to stay in the room I had paid for because they have none of my details on their system, they said it does not matter if I have my confirmation details and I was told to leave, leaving me stranded in London for 9 hours

Really nice place. Great amenities. Convenient for exploring the far east end of London, but easy to get into the centre of town too.

I’ve stayed at The Ark at Canary Wharf for extended periods and keep coming back, which probably says everything. I’ve been staying here on and off since November last year, often for months at a time, and the experience has consistently been excellent. The staff are always welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful, which makes a huge difference when you’re somewhere long-term rather than just passing through. The building itself is well maintained, comfortable, and in a great location, but what really stands out is the level of service and the atmosphere the team creates. I’ve stayed in plenty of places around London and this is one of the few where you actually feel looked after. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say, and that’s rare. If you’re considering staying here, I’d highly recommend it.

Very small room and bed, very noisy on level 19 due to swimming pool on level 20, also very hot with no AC, reported TV not working and they said it was a building and could not fix it.

My bed broke? In my sleep and messed up my neck. The hotel in general is usually good but this occasion was a nightmare.

Kitchenette in room was good idea but absolutely no pans, crockery, cutlery, so basically unuseable & no point in it being there. Bathroom absolutely tiny compared to the size of the overall room, could barely move in the shower & ended up using kitchen sink as bathroom one too small. Toiletries weren't great quality either. That said, I got it for a decent price for London, it was clean, walkable to public transport & nice to have a swimming pool. Didnt use the gym, cinema room or coworking areas but again nice that these are available.

Pool was amazing but room was quite small. Bathroom is ridiculously small with no storage area or towel racks.

Was hard making contact to confirm booking but when arrived lovely staff. Studio was very small but overall good stay.

Firstly there is not enough support or help from the staff there are no phones in the bedroom. I paid for a premium room yet the room I was given was far from premium it was tiny and blocked by a block of flats despite being advertised as ‘city view’ I was able to change after making a complaint but in the new room the TV was so far from the bed it wasn’t comfortable nor were there any plates, bowls, spoons etc… in the kitchen area which didn’t make any sense as there is no way to use it without these. I did love the pool area but it was quite disappointing that the bar/ restaurant area was closed. There is also no where to buy food in the hotel nor is there anywhere to get or order breakfast. Although there is a cafe next to the reception area. I also had an extremely bad sleep, it was sooo noisy and people were shouting outside my room before 5am in the morning.

The rooms are small, but that is reflected in the price. The area is extremely noisy with the nearby DLR. The rooms get very warm, with no control over temperature other than opening a window. Ergo noise. The beds are small doubles, so they don’t really work for couples. Staff all seem to have an attitude - you’re left standing around reception like you’re not really cared about. You’re asked for identification when you check in, with no explanation as to why. I only stay here when there’s a deal on.

Prime location, loads of activities to do like indoor swimming pool, gym, cinema, and games room. The view from 20th floor seating area was wonderful. Even though the room was small but it had everything we needed.

Room needs a good clean, dusty round the edges, cobweb, bathroom smells, not a pleasant environment. Halls on the 11th floor had a horrible malodour. As a company that supplies commercial cleaning products to the Uk largest hotel chain there is no excuse for malodour and poor cleaning execution.

was a lovely stay, friendly staff, however beds do come up the smaller side of a double, overall great hotel will definitely stay again
