I recently stayed at Hostel Tomariya Ueno and had a great experience. The staff were very helpful and took the time to clearly explain the cabin layout and the hostel regulations. The cleanliness was excellent, and the bed was comfortable, making my stay even better. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The location is very strategic. Only around 7-minute walk to Ueno Station Iriya Exit which makes it very convenient. Staff are very friendly and able to converse in English so it wasn't much of a hassle in communicating. Rooms are quite small but still quite comfortable to sleep in. Great budget hotel for solo travelers!

I always come to Tomariya every time I visit Tokyo. The staff are nice, it is always clean. They have a washing machine and hot water.

First time solo trip. First time staying here. Okay. Friendly receptionist. If check in after 11 am, she gave us a rule to pay extra fee.

Not too close to Ueno St. But the area is comfortable and not noisy. The receptionist is friendly and kind. Always inviting to chat, aka very friendly

The staff speaks English. But the room is small and smelly, foot smelly. No slipper & no tooth brush amenities. Expect noise from your neighbor unpacking her shopping bags in the middle of the night, right in front of her pod, since there is no place to open the luggage. A big no to stay here if you're a light sleeper.

The receptionist is friendly and helpfull, the facility is new and well-maintained, only the size of the bed is narrow.
