We enjoyed staying at the hotel we had to upgrade our room on the 13th floor and I paid extra money for the same. The first room we got from Expedia was just a basic room and it was rundown. I would expect this hotel to be renovated from top to bottom on the 13th floor. The service was excellent room was great, but the bathtub was very old and difficult to get in and out, and there are fall risks for a lot of people up there without any safety bars excellent service by the concierge at the 13th floor executive general area excellent drinks, breakfast lunch food and servers were excellent. I would give them 10 or 10 but the property needs to be updated to keep up with the standard.

Billing system needs to be faster. Customer unable to obtain printout of receipts on the spot.

The place and service is amazing

I checked in early and was prepared to pay a half day extra fare for checking in early. The hotel had availability and I needed privacy for an important business call. Instead of charging me a half day extra, the staff charged me for an additional full day at the highest rate possible. I accepted because I had no choice. But I will not return to Swissotel again. Nor will anyone from my organizations. I am the CEO of my company and sit on several boards. We travel to Quito often. But not to your hotel anymore.

Clean. Staff were helpful in arranging private tours. Breakfast was good. We really liked the Japanese restaurant Tanoshi. Ate there 3/4 nights.

Definitely is a great place to stay, my trip into Quito was more memorable because of this beautiful well kept hotel.

Our stay at the Swissôtel Quito was a study in contrasts. While the "hardware"—rooms, breakfast, and security—is objectively excellent, operational shortcomings regarding spa management and a lack of concierge transparency impacted the overall value. Highlights: The rooms are superior, featuring high-end beds, a pillow menu, and soft towels. Room service was precise, and the breakfast buffet—with fresh waffles and churros—is a standout. We appreciated the 4:00 AM "grab-and-go" breakfast and the security team personally escorting us to our car for our airport run. The area is very safe, with a convenient supermarket nearby. Areas for Improvement: The indoor pool was consistently occupied by outside fitness classes, making it unavailable for guest leisure. Being redirected to a cold outdoor pool is inconsistent with five-star standards. Furthermore, the concierge lacked professionalism; car prices to the center fluctuated daily with arbitrary excuses. When we provided calm feedback, the reception's response was dismissive. Local recommendations also felt "outsourced" to a quick search engine rather than expert knowledge. Verdict: Fantastic comfort and location, but the third-party prioritization of the spa and the dismissive service at the front desk prevent this from being a truly premium experience.

Very old hotel. Not updated since 90s I would guess. Staff are procedure based, strictly no access to rooms before 3 and even then my room was not available

Camila, the young lady at the front desk in the lobby, is absolutely amazing and truly outstanding. From the moment I arrived, she demonstrated exceptional customer service, professionalism, and a warm, welcoming attitude. She handled everything with confidence and genuine care, making my experience at the hotel even better. She has incredible potential and clearly goes above and beyond in her role. I strongly believe she should be considered for a higher position. Team members like Camila are a true asset to your hotel.
