My main issue with this hotel is the way that it portrayed on the hotels.com website. The photos are highly deceptive. Whilst the property is pretty clean, the photos do not show it as a rundown former office block with tired and broken fixtures and fittings. The bed was horrible. A diy wooden platform with a thin uncomfortable mattress. The linen is described as superior, but in actual fact it is old thin and worn. The aircon unit was right above the bed so you could either freeze or boil in your sleep. The walls were incredibly thin and I was kept awake with noise from inside and outside the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel and I will think twice about booking through this app in the future.

Wonderful summer visit to Skopje with restful nights at the DeKOKA. The air conditioning and dark curtains provided comfort after long hot days and early sunrises. Breakfast buffet was outstanding! Staff allowed me to store baggage in a locked room while I spent a week in Greece and helped with taxi transport to the airport.

Excellent facilities & room. Staff are really helpful & accommodating. Good continental breakfast. Very close to attractions.

Modern convenient modern budget hotel close to the old town in Skopje. Staff very welcoming g and helpful and lift available to all floors. Room very comfortable and clean and nice breakfast room. My room did not have a window as in centre of building but excellent air conditioning.

Strong stench of smoke in corridors, coffin width single beds, noisy day and night outside, poor variety and quality of breakfast... If you don't the mind above then you are alright. Breakfast was disappointing. One day we got bananas that looked as they had been retrieved from the bottom of a bin (battered and bruised). Same food, small quantities every single day. BORING.. Noise was a pain. Should be able to rest day/night in peace but couldn't. They cater for smokers right under guests' open windows, so you can be assured of the stench of cigarette smoke wafting into your hotel room. Reception desk not manned properly early in the morning

Was a good standard, for the price. The room was clean but the curtains didn't fully cover the windows. Breakfast was sufficient

Room was certainly clean and I think I had one that was recently updated Staff were very helpful and friendly. Although there was a jacuzzi in the bathroom, I did not use it,so not able to comment. Breakfast was simple, bur adequate. On the whole this was a good decent hotel, ideal location. For the price I thought it was very good value and would recomend

The hotel is very close proximity to the old market/bazar. Just come out and take a left and climb the stairs and get down on the other side. You are in the centre, river, monuments, and all related places along with restaurants are there. The taxi from airport cost 1,000 Macedonia Denar equivalent to 17 Euro. Download the app of cabs and pay cash or connect your credit card.

Photo shown is not the hotel. Parking; choatic, a crazy game of tetris.15 mins of the attendant getting others/us to reverse within inches of parked cars. Simone and the other lady on reception were excellent. Heading to our room, it look like a shopping centre but rooms replaced shops. Our room 309; 3rd floor. We pressed 3, each time the opened, no sign of the 300s. A man entered the lift and abruptly told us a few times that we didn't press 3. He was the manager, so we asked him to show us to our room. He pointed out of the lift then pointed left. Again, we say there are no signs for rooms in the 300s. He waves us off to the left. Double room was large, bed seemed comfortable, had a tv with a few channels but no way of getting English subtitles. We returned to the room at 20:30 after exploring, there was a weird electrical clicking sound. It wasn't the numerous lights or the ac. 1hr later, someone came, he agreed it wasn't lights or ac. He removed the card for electric, the emergency light came on but promptly switched off. Worrying if there was an emergency. Moved to King room 314, corner, many windows. Lightswich for lights was all or none. Other switches didn't work. No way to switch off bathroom light or fan, so light from window between bed and bathroom, noise all night. Very hot room so ac needed, more noise. Ill fitting curtains so light in from sunrise. No soundproofing from busy road or hotel, not much sleep. Random awful smell in bathroom; wc or jacuzzi??

The hotel location is very close to all the restaurants, attractions, shopping, etc.

Location and condition of the property

The location is very good. It’s just next to the old bazaar and 15 minutes walk to the Macedonia square.

This hotel gets 10/10 for location, which is the most important factor. Easy walk to all the sites, you’re right in the middle of everything. Otherwise my room ( an executive spa) was quite entertaining- round bed. Huge jacuzzi which was lovely except it leaks. When the water drains it just bubbles up from the floor drain. The shower has very low pressure and the only lights in the entire place are strands of Christmas lights so you can’t see anything. Room dirty, and in bad repair. However given the location it was a great place to be
