Reception staff were very welcoming. The room was clean and the facilities were good. It was nice to have a quiet and more active pool and close access to the beach.

Hotel check in was quick & easy. There was no shower head in our room so Patrick went to get one & fitted it straight away. We asked for a mattress topper for the sofabed which was brought to us straight away & was very comfortable. Most staff are friendly & polite. Room was a great size with a separate bedroom, really comfortable huge bed, a full kitchen, fridge freezer with ice machine. Microwave, coffee maker. We cooked a full Christmas dinner for 7 people in the room & had everything we needed. Air con was great. Room was cleaned twice a week. Towels, toilet roll & bins changed daily. Hotel was very clean & had very well kept gardens. The gardeners were very friendly. Enjoyed playing mini golf on site. It was nice having security at both entrances to the property. Always found a parking space. WiFi was good most of the time. First time staying at Divi Southwinds & we’d happily stay there again. Fantastic location with The Gap on the doorstep - lots of eateries, souvenirs for sale, convenience stores. You don’t need a car here but we had one as we like to travel the island & visit friends & family. It was both my husbands & my birthday & we were gifted a bottle of bubbly each with champagne flutes & a piece of cake & a card. Absolutely lovely & we didn’t expect it, so that was a lovely touch. We were also given boxes of chocolates for Christmas. We ate at Pure Ocean restaurant on the beach. Seafood boil was lovely. Beach is beautiful with lots of sun loungers.

This is a beautiful property with a wonderful beach. However the building is old. Elevator was down every day and you had to wait for beach towels. It is a great location if you arent picky about every detail.

the very first day after check in the central room ac unit blew out and tripped the electricity and there had wire fuse issues and attempted to replace the faulty u it and was unsuccessful throughout this i had to leave the room and went to aunts and came back later that evening and issues was still not resolve and was then provided a new room the later evening after losing almost an entire day. besides this the customer service was ok and room was fine along with the property grounds. i also assume there was no hot water because of the electricity issues that morning also.

Excellent service and location

This location is perfect if you’re looking to stay in the “gap” area. Super close to the nightlife and a private beach right across the street. Much less crowded than other portions of the beach just down the road

Room was and kitchenette was dusty. Bathroom had long stands of hair in various places

Conveniently located, staff was pleasant and well kept grounds.

one of my favourite spots in Barbados. the staff is top tier and location is perfect for walking the gap. having a kitchen is such a great bonus for me.
