This is a nice hotel don’t get me wrong. The room was clean and updated. My issue comes from my experience hopping in the shower after a long day of travel and realizing that the shampoo is completely out. Already bothered that cleaning service didn’t notice, I stepped out and tried to call concierge, but the hotel phone was not working. And so, with my hair soaking wet, I put on some clothes and went to the front desk and told her the issue, and she handed me a bottle of shampoo. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little shocked that they weren’t going to send someone up to replace it themselves. I then had to finagle the one affixed on the bathroom wall (this wasn’t your easy take one bottle out thing- I had to figure out how it was affixed to the wall and it took a few minutes) and replace it with the one she handed me. This is not four star hotel service. I normally stay at low-key, much cheaper places, but I wanted to splurge and treat myself. And mind you, they didn’t even have conditioner. In what world does a four-star hotel not have conditioner?! My hair is definitely a complete knot at the moment and I’m hoping my next hotel will do me justice.
Also, while the double insulated windows are great, the walls to the hallway are so thin, you can hear every single person talking as they pass by. I’m so disappointed with my experience and the amount of money I spent in order for me to have one night of a somewhat luxurious sleep.
