Had stayed here previously and found it in need of repairs and restoration and it is happening. Much improved from my previous stay. Good food and variety.

The rooms were falling apart with paint peeling everywhere you look or touch. When we took a shower, it was an enormous smell of sulfur coming from the drain or water. The bed had bed bugs because my wife has small bites all over legs and arms even though we didn’t see a single mosquito there.

Nice room, though a bit of trouble getting towels. Friendly Staff, music by the pool was awesome and nightly dancing and music was fun.

Very good food and beautiful hotel

This is not a 5* hotel, the new owners need to spend lots of money. The spa is closed apparently for refurbishment but doesn't look like opening soon , on hotels description says it's open , the second pool is also closed as is the other half of the hotel none of this is explained. explained expl

Great Staff and great food. However, Netflix nor Prime Video does not work on the televisions in the room.

This is an older property that has not been remodeled in a decades. That being said, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly but the service, especially for food was slow. Typically an hour to get food ordered off the menu. The food was fair and inconsistent (I ordered a hamburger 2 different days. 1st day, good, 2nd day, terrible.)

Excellent staff,great locals, beautiful beach

The place is tired and lacks a lot of things you usually get at other hotels. No sun umbrellas around the pool area they rely on the trees for shade. The waiter service is poor there too as you have to seek out a waiter and then it takes ages for food to arrive. At breakfast the bacon is kept hidden away and you have to ask for it whilst everything else is self service. Items run out and aren’t replaced. I will not be staying again

Rooms were clean, spacious, working AC and staff cleaned on a daily basis. Meals were deliciously prepared, loved the Swahili station. However, there needs to be a variety of drinks and desserts especially during tea time. Waiters also need to be more proactive in assisting guests. Most importantly, the hotel needs to provide activities for guests. The bars are boring, drink menu is very limited and no activities to keep people engaged.

Great service

The rooms were dumpy, we booked full board but got charged for water we drunk at the dinner table, our room had a fridge that didn't work, they promised to fix it on the second day we got there but they never fixed it. They advertise the place having a spar but there is no spar. We felt cheated by false advertisement.

From the moment we arrived at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Every member of the team was warm, attentive and incredibly professional – nothing was ever too much trouble. What stood out most for us was how personal the service felt: friendly smiles, remembering our preferences, and always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. They created a relaxed, homely atmosphere while still being very efficient. The room was spotless and well presented, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the facilities are excellent – but it’s really the people who take this hotel to another level. We left feeling very well cared for and would happily return. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife loved the stay there. The rooms were cool after a long day in the sun, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. The food and bars on the resort are the best we’ve had at a hotel.

Great location but the web site is not reflecting the current condition. The hotel and pool, gardens, accommodation all require total renovation and maintenance. The hotel suite was dated, poor condition, missing tiles in bathroom, mouldy and generally very tired. The cleaners worked hard and the staff were friendly but apparently the owners are interested in spending the money that is required to refurbish the hotel and ammenities. The pool bar is empty has no glasses, drinks or staff. The food is disappointing, cold, incorrect many times and quality overall below par. The menu was very limited and generally the food tasteless. Really wish we didn’t book the hotel and definitely not full board. We reported several times to the staff but apparently the Chef advised he didn’t care what the customers said he only reported to his boss. To make it worse the cleaner didn’t lock the patio doors on one occasion and the suite was invaded by monkeys that took everything from fruit, crisps, chocolate, drinks etc… defecated all over the suite, broke glasses and left monkey blood on the floor, bedding, bathroom, etc is was disgusting and took the cleaners 3hrs to clean…. All the affected clothes had to be specially cleaned and as a result I received an infection to my hands resulting in horrible blisters and now been treated by the Tropical Disease Center in London. Sadly there are much better hotels close by that we visited and wish we hadn’t paid upfront.
