Customer Service was horrific.

Amazing views in every direction and centrally located. The shared bathroom was clean and large. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious too. I would visit again!

It was a cool old property, people are very friendly and close to everything!

The staff were not helpful and the hotel was not accessible for my disability. When I tried to get assistance no one was available to help me get to a rebooking and no one was able to refund my cost.

Difficult to access with luggage... (a lot of steps to walk up). So it is for a young crowd. Nice views from the top though.

A Caribbean Masterpiece-- Beautiful!

To start, it is a very nice, quaint inn. I like it a lot EXCEPT for the large number of stairs and no assistance with my luggage. A few years ago, that many stairs would just have been a challenge. Today, with arthritic hips, it is an obstacle, completely undoable to carry luggage up there. A bystander helped, but if not, I reckon I would have had to sleep out on the sidewalk next to my luggage! (No, I really would not have). I feel the issue was there just was no staff to haul the luggage. But honestly, if you have good hips (or knees) and are good with the stairs, it is a great little place for its price. Definitely not fancy, but very authentic island life. Note also, these islands frequently lose electricity. If you are not willing to rough it, stay at a resort that has generators. No fault of the Inn about the electricity, it just happens in the islands. I am going to post. Pics of all the stairs and inclines it took to get to my room.

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. We waited 2 hours, after our checking time, to get in our room. The rooms are dated but clean Our room was on the second floor, which was 72 stone steps up the hill, with luggage. So, if you’re not in good shape, I don’t recommend this place There us a lot of beautiful vegetation around the hotel but that also meant lots of mosquitos Bring your insect repellent if you want to be outside

I stayed here with one of my best friends, and my mother and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the security of the fact that they have a main gate that they lock after hours so random people aren’t coming in. The only downside to this hotel and why I only ranked it. Four stars out of five is that the rooms were very small and the water pressure isn’t the greatest but we didn’t mind because we just slept there and the rest of the time we were sightseeing! I do wanna make a note that due to it being an island and having to reserve their electricity, the power does go out for a couple hours during the day at this hotel and certain areas (not everywhere on the island), so just make sure that you have everything charged. I also wanted to say the parking is very narrow due to The Streets being very narrow so make sure when you park you’re able to get out very easily. It was a cute little hotel for a great price And it was very close (walking distance) to some Little shopping markets, and food. When we go back next year, this is definitely a place we would come back to.

The room was very simple, but for me it was just a place to catch up on some work and sleep. Rooms are scattered across buildings, like other hotels nearby, because the hotel climbs a steep hill. The amenities were great. I certainly enjoyed the pristine pool after walking around in the blazing sun!

Great place to stay. Was SUPER hard to find at first with Google maps. Perfect breakfast and very laid back. We had a gorgeous view and the AC worked perfect. Nice staff. THE best thing was that we were able to walk about everywhere. Perfect hotel if wanting to walk to the pop up shops/food/jewelry places

This is a small, quaint hotel run by locals in the style of a hostel. We arrived way early and were allowed to swim in the pool for a few hours which was great! The common area is a great place to meet others, and the staff was very nice. We were very happy with this authentic stay and would return.

Location was absolutely key! While the hotel is a bit older, it still offers a nice stay. There was a water pipe issue, but it was out of their control, and they thoughtfully provided water for guests. Remember, it's an island, and sometimes things happen! If you’re interested in staying at a picturesque peaceful place to stay in the downtown St Thomas the Galleon House is the place to be. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and clean veranda area. The scenery is breathtaking.

Air and pool were great. MANY stairs..quite a climb would not recommend for older people or with any disability. Close to good restaurants and markets.

The Galleon House is so quaint and authentic, that we wouldn’t have stayed anywhere else! It is definitely a hike up a hill of steps, which fits into the location perfectly. The room was clean with a great balcony, air conditioning, adequate amenities for an island getaway, perfect options for continental breakfast with nice strong coffee, a refreshing pool, beautiful flora with lizards and a kittie mascot welcoming us each morning, a great central location, and very helpful, wonderful staff. Our favorite aspects of the room included a comfortable bed and pillows and a fantastic shower. We found the tile comfortable and water flow so refreshing and superior to many large chain establishments. This gem is truly an island experience that we will cherish!

As many have mentioned there are a lot of steps to reception. Upon making the hike the reception wasn’t very welcoming and made it clear three o’clock is the earliest check in time. The breakfast is extremely limited with coffee some fruit and cheap muffins.
