I would not recommend

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon and overall it was an okay experience. Not bad, but definitely not what we expected. Unfortunately, around 80% of the staff weren’t friendly and rarely greeted or smiled, which made the atmosphere feel a bit cold. A few staff members really stood out for their kindness though. Especially Raven, Suraj, and the bell boy (man). They were genuinely lovely and helpful and we appreciated their warmth. Breakfast was average, with limited variety, but the included dinner was surprisingly lovely and enjoyable each night. We had requested a nice sea view for our honeymoon, but sadly a large tree completely blocked the view from our room, which was quite disappointing given the occasion. Overall, it was a decent stay, but with a little more friendliness and attention to detail, it could have been so much better.

Kept harassing my girlfriend and me. Staff knocked on our door every 5 minutes and wouldn't leave us alone.

The location, the staff, the view, all of this lead to a memorable experience!

Hôtel was lovely, views from the rooftop at breakfast and from the pool were the highlight for me. Room was spacious. Staff were very attentive, more than you would expect in this kind of hotel, which was not really for me, but some people like that level of service. Note long trousers and closed shoes if you want to eat dinner at the hotel (we didn't have either). Walking distance to the beach and the few restaurants in town (recommend the Cloud) and good parking if you have your own car.

Bad experience, food poisoning from the buffet breakfast, this is only the beginning lifts out of use, needs updating, bathroom extractor not able to turn off, electrical switches not able to work out with a warm mini bar. But not able to brush teeth or shower or have bath because of brown water from tap.. not except-able under any circumstances. A waist of money and would not recommend

We loved our stay at Ocean V. The rooftop restaurant and bar is amazing with spectacular 180 degree views. Perfect boutique hotel catering for adults only.

Staff were polite and very accommodating. Property has beautiful rooftop views of the local beach and nice spa facility. Traffic can be a little noisy from the main road at times

The Staff were helpful and attentive. They made efforts to interact with guests and made my stay and my family feel most welcome and well assisted. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff very friendly , hotel in good shape and has one of the best roof top bar and resteraunt. The gym could be way better ,too small with only 3 equipment. A beautful infinity pool. The food was top quality . Would reccomend

Stunning hotel and incredible service from their great staff. Room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. Design on our bed was a great touch! Would definitely come back!

This was my second stay at Ocean V. As always, the service was impeccable and one of a 6 stars hotel. The staff is very attentive to your needs and they pamper you from day 1 to your very last day. They are very helpful for anything you need. The breakfast offers great options if you are a vegetarian. The food is delicious. The Chef also tailors to your dietary habits. That's how attentive the whole staff is. He even accepted special orders I made (a 20 slices birthday cake for my friend). They offer tea time for free envy day. The hotel is very modern. The rooms are very spacious and super neat. You sleep so well even though it is close to the street when cars pass by, you don't hear a sound and will sleep like a baby. The rooftop pool has a spectacular view on the Indian Ocean. It is never crowded so at times, you will have the pool just for yourself. It is very conveniently located to great diving centres and the best one being (mybasediving) and conveniently located 5 min walk to the beach. It is also close to the many shops in Grand baie and all the nice restaurant and going-out area.

The hotel itself is worth visiting Maurice for. I had the best hotel experience in my life at Ocean V. The hotel staff are so very nice and so attentive. Their service is better than the one of a 5 stars hotel. Everyone is there to make your stay memorable. They are very client-centric. They can arrange any tours or activities on the island for you. The rooms are very spacious and very neat. The hotel is new. So everything is in pristine conditions. The hotel has a 24h guard and security. Although, it is not very needed as this location is super safe and friendly. The food at the restaurant is delicious. They accommodate any dietary restrictions. The place is a great choice for vegetarian travelers. The hotel is very conveniently located with the beach nearby and public transportations that take you to the main attractions in grande baie in no time. The hotel is also conveniently located, about 5 min by foot, to the best diving center on the island ‘my base diving centre’ who is managed by the third best diver on the island. I strongly recommend to stay at Ocean V. I, myself, will be back for another magical trip.

There’s a reason the reviews are very mixed on this property. The food is outstanding. 5*. I had breakfast and evening meal included and plenty of options to choose from with great quality ingredients and flavor pairings. Wine was also very good quality. Staff on the whole are very good, some stand outs are Manav the GM (not sure where this hotel would be without him!) Kevin in the restaurant is a great personality and brought fun to my stay. Pool is beautiful and the view is stunning .. the sun loungers however are uncomfortable and cheapen the whole look of the rooftop.. they could do with updating. I wish this hotel had beach access a little closer that’s what it is lacking. Overall I would say it didn’t quite meet my expectations based on the previous 5/5 reviews , but for the price I paid considering it was Xmas season I would say it’s very good value for money for the service and food provided. I hope they manage to keep Manav and allow him to pass his individuality and flair on to make this property a true 4*. If you’re looking for a nice modern stay in Mauritius without the price tag of the honeymoon resorts .. this is your go to ! I would return to the restaurant for the food if I was in the area again !

Hotel rooms are clean staff are very friendly rooftop pool and breakfast is very pleasing but the dinner needs improving basic and not much to choose from on menu. The overall place is great and location is right by the beach and shops ect
