Our stay at Casa René with Ylvi and Koen was truly a magical experience and one of the best hospitality experiences we have ever had.
Even before we arrived in Portugal, Ylvi was incredibly helpful with planning our trip. We were travelling to Lisbon to run the Lisbon Half Marathon, and she kindly helped us with practical information about the race, transportation, and how to best prepare for race day. Her communication before the trip made everything feel easy and well organised.
When we arrived, we immediately felt welcomed. They helped us with transportation options, gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area, and shared useful tips about Lisbon and the local neighbourhood.
One of the highlights was how thoughtfully they helped us around race day. They prepared delicious food for us when we returned after finishing. It was such a thoughtful and generous touch that made the whole experience even more special.
Casa René itself is absolutely beautiful. The photos online simply do not do it justice. The rooms are lovely, the garden is peaceful and stunning, and the pool area is a perfect place to relax. Everything is very well maintained and full of charm.
