So homely food first class

Lovely overnight stay quiet pretty village The Royal Oak Inn well placed for exploring the area. Very nice evening meal and breakfast. Good choice of menu and freshly cooked. Friendly helpful staff Bedroom clean comfortable and individual Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area

All the staff were really welcoming at The Royal Oak! Despite there being a large group there, they still made us feel valued. Room was lovely with a great shower, food was amazing and all in a beautiful setting. I slept particularly well so nothing to fault and would love to return!

Superb restaurant food for dinner in this delightful village compensates for the rather mediocre room in this ancient inn. However the latter is reflected in the very modes room price and staying here is worthwhile for the dining experience alone. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful

The folks running this inn were so nice and the food was remarkably good. Our night at The Royal Oak Exmoor was very enjoyable.

Stayed here before. Lovely character inn, friendly service, comfortable beds, beautiful quiet village and convenient for Dunster and Exmoor. Brought our US visitors this time and they loved it.

We really enjoyed our two nights in this lovely traditional thatched inn set in pretty peaceful surroundings. Excellent local ales and very good food. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Great spot from which to visit Dunster, Minehead etc and for walking on Exmoor. We hope to return.
