Not enough vegetarian options

The spa was a nice surprise, great pool. The rooms was huge, but no aircon, so very warm in the summer. The bar was never attended, so difficult to get beverages at any time. The food was limited in choice and average quality. But the location is stunning.

We had a lovely stay in a family suite. Spacious and modern. We would have liked a balcony, however. The beds were comfortable enough, the internet worked great, even when we had several devices connected. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet doesn't have loads of choice, but is tasty. The evening meals are the same. A small amount of options and small portions, but delicious. The pools are great and the pool area is clean, with complimentary tea, coffee and water to drink. The walks around the hotel reward you with stunning views.

Unfortunately we were not able to sit with our family and friends at dinner. Everyone had an assigned table.

Amazing views, good food, great walks and two good pools

Stayed one night during the snowstorms of 2023 that shut down large parts of southern Germany and the service and hospitality we received at this hotel were unapparelled. We stayed here just as an overnight after driving all day from Austria but it was one of the most memorable nights on our driving trip around Germany and Austria. Highly recommend!

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting in the Black Forest National Park. Old World charm with nice amenities. An excellent location whether you’re there for relaxation or outdoor adventures!

Great location in the Black forest with plenty of nice walking trails nearby. The rooms were spacious,thankfully we got moved to a nice wellness suite due to construcrion works. The pool area inside and outside is nice although we didn't spend much time there due to the construction work. The staff were friendly from reception to housekeeping until it came to our first night at dinner where it really depends on who is serving you. We had a waiter who was not so friendly and did not seem to like serving so much so we left early. Mrs.Brose was fantastic and so professional and looked after us really well including making sure gluten free options were available and went one step ahead and had gluten free bread already on our breakfast table and she was on top of everything ensuring breakfast ran smoothly with her friendly approach. Manu the customer service manager was also fantastic in looking after us and thankfully we moved to his dinner service area for the second night which was a totally different experience to the first night in a much better way. Manu made us feel welcome and was so professional having listened to our unwelcomed experience the previous night. The good aspect about this hotel is that the the management listened and acknowledged our poor experience on arrival and thanks to Viola turned into a most memorable relaxing and enjoyable time. We really appreciated it so thank you Manu, Viola and Mrs.Brose. Our 2 little dogs also had a good time.

Peaceful hotel overlooking the black forest with several small villages and towns that have lots of bars, restaurants and things to do. With comfortable rooms and nice facilities, our stay was very pleasant. We only stayed for one night as a stop off point on the way home as we wanted somewhere to relax after visiting lots of towns and doing lots of driving. I don't think the hotel is really set up for our kind of stay as the reception is not maned between 21:00 and 07:00 which made checking out a problem for us. We had to leave at 6am and found that all the doors were locked and no staff to let us out. We had to hunt for an escape door that wasn't alarmed to leave. There was definitely a shortage of staff in general, they were all lovely and good at their job but some facilities, such as the pool side bistro were not manned so we couldn't easily order refreshments without going to find someone who then had to call the bar and get them to bring drinks. I'm sure it's because we were there in their off season but I do think that if they accept bookings then all the advertised facilities need to be properly staffed and I think that a 4 star hotel should have reception staff on at all times.

Was a great location to visit the Schwarzwald national park. Easy access to many trails for hiking and gorgeous view!

Nice but a little old - Good service and nice dinner

Vi havde bestilt til 3, men der var kun gjort klar til 2, så alt fra sengetøj, håndklæder, glas mv manglede. Da vi efterspurgte, fik med besvær det udleveret og kunne selv transportere det op. Manglede stadig lagen til sengen. Udtrækssofaen var skjoldet og beskidt. Ikke et sted man havde lyst til at ligge uden lagen. Værelset var slidt og støvet. Køkkenet lukkede kl 20 og der var ikke mulighed for at købe mad herefter. Vi kom kl 20, som vi havde skrevet i bestillingen, men kunne end ikke købe et stykke brød. Baren lukkede også tidligt. Vi fik ikke meget ud af vores overnatning i forhold til hotellets faciliteter, som mere egner sig til længere ophold end enkelt overnatning, da de er lukkede. Morgenmaden levede heller ikke op til vores forventninger fra andre hoteller med 4 stjerner.

Bra hotell med trevlig personal och gott om privat parkering. Rummet var välstädat och rymligt. Bra frukost.
