Challenging to get there, but that’s part of the charm

Vertical Sky Suites (VSS) is an experience without parallel, in the best way. We (family of four) arrived at the base road after a taxi ride (arranged by VSS), stowed some of our extra gear at a secure storage site, then rode the last bit up on 4-wheelers with two experienced guides. Upon arrival in the main dome, we were greeted by an incredible view and the friendly hostess. We ordered dinner, were guided with care to our hanging pod, and relaxed there taking in the mind boggling views until it was time to head back into the sky dome for a delicious dinner. After falling asleep gazing at the stars back in our pod, we awoke the next day, shared a delicious breakfast, then embarked on an incredible experience - via ferrata, hiking/climbing extreme slopes while securely clipped to anchored cables - with our excellent guide Igor (extremely thorough, patient, encouraging, and fun). We then zip-lined back to the sky dome, proud, tired, and very happy!

Wow, that just sums it all up

Excellent adventure experience, amazing view from up top in morning. Very good food in restaurants, provided good vegetarian options and breakfast excellent too. Overall good experience.

An amazing experience! Stars (we got lucky with the new moon) and the valley views were fantastic! Not to mention the mountain Veronica vista in bed in the morning! We had the top dome. Felt like a great choice. Recommend requesting a pickup in ollantaytambo around 3pm or earlier - so you can get to top in time and still have some sun to enjoy the views. Pre arrival communication was weak. Would have loved to have a referral for a place we could leave luggage in ollantaytambo for a few hours before the pickup.

We had an amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was very nice ... can't say that about the lunch and dinner menu. But overall experience was simply Amazing. Would highly recommend this place.

Everything about this stay was exceptional. The dome was gorgeous and had everything you could need, and the staff was the best, especially Juan Carlos! 10/10 I wish I didn’t have to leave!!!

Remember it's cold. It takes a while to get warm. Food it's good and they offer transportation

Amazing

The staff were great at communicating with us and easing our concerns about travelling with a 15 year old and a 10 year old. They had heaters and extra blankets, hot water bottles, a kettle, fridge and hair dryer. They had heaters views were spectacular and it wasn’t too scary getting to our capsule. The dinner was excellent and every staff member was outstanding.

Our stay was truly the experience of a lifetime. Every member of the staff was exceptionally kind, caring, and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. After a long day, I had trouble making it up the hill to our room, and the gentleman who escorted us graciously carried my bag. I wish I had gotten his name so I could thank him personally. It was so late when we checked in that I completely forgot to ask. Jorge was equally wonderful. He and his dog, Sunny, gave us a ride back down the hill, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. To top it all off, the night sky was absolutely breathtaking. Seeing so many stars was an unforgettable experience. Combined with the outstanding hospitality, it made for a stay we’ll always cherish.

What a wonderful experience! Totally worth it. Everyone was so friendly, and we very much appreciated their willingness to accommodate our itinerary as we had some last minute details that needed to be sorted in Cusco before our arrival in Ollantaytambo. Food was amazing as well! A big thank you to everyone at Vetical Sky!

Very clean. Great and very helpful staff. Huge thank you to Jose (concierge) who had to run after us after we checked out to hand over my husband's headphones, which we left behind! This is so much appreciated! Great breakfast. Very comfortable room. Lovely rooftop heated pool.

This hotel is a complete adventure, it’s beautiful and makes you feel so connected to nature. You feel you are almost touching the stars. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is friendly and really helpful. A must to experience if you go to Ollaytantambo. Not a place for people looking for party or going to town. It’s very far away and very difficult to access, so make your plans about going and staying there .

Excellent service and BEAUTIFUL views. What an experience. We also did a tour of the sacred valley with the owner Eddy. We had the best time, visited moray Mara’s ollantaytambo and stopped for beers at a local brewery. Had the best time. Staff were also very accommodating, shout out to Gabby and Juan Carlos! Food was top notch. Lots of water coca tea, pisco sours and even made a special tea for me where I had a cold ! The place is a little out of the way up the mountain but gave the best views because of it! Thanks so much - Victoria and Eddie

Amazing experience and service! We only stayed one night but the everything was smooth. Dinner on property was delicious. The view out of the dome was beautiful. 100% recommend. Staff was great and very accommodating.
