We would not have been able to access the property if it weren’t for the help of other guests. The owners failed to tell us the entrance code. In addition there was no prior warning that the en suite was outside our room (room 6).

We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. The front of the property had two lovely patio sets however staff had overlooked cleaning them, so we gave them a quick brush off so we could use them. Because we sat out front in the late afternoon we seemed to become the go to people on how to get in as they hadn’t received the door access code from the property. We would ask people their names and check for their room key before giving them the access code. We were glad to help but thought it pretty bad customer service when we helped 4 separate guests over 2 days. Great location, with comfortable room however property & maintenance crews need to improve.

It felt a bit like a fancy youth hostel, but the whole “no staff” concept was a bit off-putting.

You can leave your luggages in the lounge before check-in and after checkout. We stayed in a Classic Double Room, which was the most affordable one. The listing should be clear on NOT-en-suite in this room as the pictures looking like en-suite. The entire room was also different from the pictures. It was a bit tight and small but fair enough for the price. The front door keypad was not user-friendly, which made the checkin experience worse. However, the staff was kind on the phone. Overall I didn’t feel “excellent” as expected from the reviews but if you look for affordable and clean rooms, I’d recommend here.

The Hotel for the price you pay was ok. The bed was clean, however no mattress protection was laid down. The bathroom was also clean. The rest of the room as not as clean as i would have hoped and looked tired. The location however is excellent! Parking was suffient and only a 3min walk in the famous all creatures great and small area.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Grassington — quiet, warm, and wonderfully cosy, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s an easy stroll to the Yorkshire Dales Visitor Centre, and there’s a beautiful 4.5‑mile loop walk along the river that brings you back through Grass Wood Nature Reserve. It’s also a perfect base for exploring the wider Dales, with Aysgarth Falls, Hawes, the Ribblehead Viaduct and more all within easy reach. We'll definitely be booking Grassington Lodge again on our next visit.

Spotless accommodation and really well placed and a short walk to grassington main square. Only gripe was our room (room 11) was really noisy when the people in the room above were walking around, due to very creaky floorboards. Other than that, highly recommended.

Lovely views and convenient location. Housekeeping was done in a rush. Hair and bugs in bed, used shampoo in the shower… Messed up heating settings due to which the room was cold in the evening (though a small electric heater was provided, it saved the situation).

This lodge was ok. It was contactless check in with really no direct communication other than WhatsApp with any staff. The room we stayed in was quite dark and cramped, not like what is pictured on the listing. Grassington itself is a very cute/quaint town and we really enjoyed visiting. The footpath near the water fall is quite pretty!

Property was ok. There are nicer places to stay in the area. Nextdoor bathroom next to bedroom so loud during the night when people are up and down so didn't sleep well. A bit bashed and bruised over the years needs some TLC. Parking not ideal very hard to park when all spaces are taken. Fridge in room was nice touch. Would like to see something a bit different in the rooms to make you feel like you're in Yorkshire, like Yorkshire tea and local biscuits etc. something to set you apart. Has potential.

Extremely basic, very worn and tired decor. Not clean, dusty skirting boards, carpet was very worn and dirty. It was very poor value for money at £220 for one night and not as described. It is unstaffed with a telephone number to call for any remote assistance. This is not a hotel it is a serviced room. It must not be advertised as a luxury room or hotel because this is not correct.

Great location for our 4-day holiday. Great hiking footpaths.
