This is a great location in the pedestrian zone. The basic but comfortable room was clean and quiet. Two things to note; there is no traditional front desk. You enter through the Starbucks and have codes for the elevator and your room. This was not a problem for us. Also you cannot drink the water in the room. The water does smell sometimes giving the bathroom a peculiar odor. I don't know if this is a common thing in the old town. It was my first visit.

Room was massive, well presented with excellent amenities. Comfortable bed and gorgeous massive bathroom. Brilliant location too.

We had a very nice stay at the Melior. To help prevent confusion for others, you enter the Starbucks and just before the counter, there is a small desk and elevator. That is how you access the hotel. They send you a code for all the doors and elevator prior to arrival. The staff was very courteous and breakfast is provided daily by ordering online… all Starbucks items. They deliver to your room or you can have your breakfast is the Starbucks. The location is great with a short walk to the bus station and everything in Valletta easily accessible. We had no issues with noise even as the Carnival was occurring during our stay. The only downside is that I felt it could be cleaner, but I am very picky about cleanliness, so maybe it is just me. Otherwise great stay.

Location was excellent, although very dificult to find as the enterance is via a lift located at the rear of a Star Bucks. Entrance is by code as reception is unmaned most of the time. Room was very clean on arrival. The included breakfast is either at a, very nice, cafe 10 minutes away or 'In-Room' which is delivered from the Star Bucks below. The few staff we did see - delivering breakfast or in passing - were very friendly and polite.

Great value

I had a leaking fridge when I arrived but that was dealt with by the second day. Otherwise, the room was spotless and perfect to my needs. You don't have much interaction with staff due to the way the hotel is accessed (it's within a Starbucks). The reception desk was never manned and the only staff I saw were the cleaners who were friendly, and a Starbucks staff member who showed me to my room on arrival.

Clean, comfortable, compact room Friendly staff who were very helpful. They offered to hold our bags for us until time to leave Would recommend the Starbucks delivery breakfast over Charles and Ron cafe down the road. Much better selection and the Cafe options were limited and you were not made to feel particularly welcome. Entry via Starbucks Fab location in Valletta to explore Malta

I had a very disappointing stay due to multiple unresolved issues with the room. The TV would suddenly turn on by itself with sound only but black screen, even when it had not been switched on. On top of that, the power kept cutting off in the middle of the night randomly, which was extremely disruptive and uncomfortable. I reported these problems to the staff multiple times, but each time they insisted there were no issues with the room. I requested a room change due to the ongoing problems, but I was told that no rooms were available. However, it was frustrating that on the morning of my checkout, they offered me another room—far too late to be of any help. Overall, the lack of proper investigation, poor handling of complaints, and delayed response made this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend staying here, unless you want to get scared during midnight.

Room was spacious and clean, I would have preferred a double but twin was fine and didn't interfere with my sleep. Bathroom was modern with a Rainfall ceiling mounted shower head. There was a Nespresso machine and fridge for making coffee and storing drinks and snacks. Located near the parliament building and a plethora of eateries and sights.

The main reason why one selects a hotel is the service. While the Melior is a nice hotel in a great location, the service is lacking. Reception is rarely manned (one day in five) and I found it impossible to contact them by phone, either by my phone or the internal landline. Apparently, Reservations do not work the weekends. To be uncontactable for nearly 30% of the time is unfathomable. This made checking in very hard.

Prime location, easy access. Great and timely communication. Very clean and comfortable room. Great place to stay when in Valetta.

The locotion was not marked the enterance was within a busy coffee shop which I found accidentally when I went up and down the street to find 300 this was not mentioned prior to stay Staffed by coffee shop staff Only access by lift within the shop where you have to have code very complicated Room very spacious needs little tlc but fine Nice location Would worry about fire safety as no stairs should be flagged up

Room was ok bathroom had nice amenities Problem with elevator code not working and subsequently also room code keypad malfunction. Annoying because there is no front desk and it isn’t always attended.

The apartment was fantastic, having a separate sitting area and kitchen was perfect for us. Lots of plugs, tv and excellent shower. Loved the balcony. The only minor issue was it’s in a pedestrianised street, so it was a walk uphill with suitcases to access the hotel and our airport transport. But it was a small price to pay. Staff were smashing and the location is brilliant
