I stayed one night in Room 519, directly opposite the lifts. Despite requesting a quiet room, the lifts sounded like a V8 Supercar taking off until around 1am, then started again about 6am. I was sick and exhausted, so it made for a terrible night’s sleep. On the plus side, walking into the room initially felt like stepping onto the set of a Pedro Almodóvar film – bold colours, dramatic styling and wonderfully cinematic. Personally, I think it would have been even more striking had they kept the room simple and all white rather than adding the new lighting and padded bedhead. There was no kettle in the room, so every cup of tea meant another trip in the lift to get hot water. If you’re British, Australian, or simply enjoy a decent cup of tea, be aware. The mini-fridge is a generous size though, which is handy if you bring your own milk, as the coffee machines downstairs only provide powdered milk. The buffet is enormous, but the food was very bland and reminded me of hospital food. The hotel seems to cater largely to big coach groups, particularly German tourists, who certainly make the most of the all-you-can-eat buffet. Evening entertainment consists of dancing that, thankfully, you can watch from the street without actually staying there. What really disappointed me was the constant upselling. Water isn’t included with meals, shaded parking costs extra, late checkout was another €34, and there always seemed to be another surcharge waiting. The, worst hotel in my 3 wks

Big hotel lots of ‘mature’ guests actively enjoying the line dancing in the bar. Restaurant food poor. Also rammed not a good experience but room clean and tide. €4 to use the one bike in the gym. 20min walk to castle.

I didn't like the hotel at all, it's not obviously a 4 stars superior, it's maximum a 3 stars. The room is too small, swimming pool too small either, always over crowded and with no sun beds available most of the time. The room was never properly cleaned, just superficially. The food was ok but not exceptional for a 4 stars superior. Trays run out of food and not replaced enough, an hour before they closed did not put any more food. Parking too expensive, 15 euros/day, it should have been free. Drinks were too expensive. Views from the room were awful. Will never go back. No good value for money. Paid for a 4 stars superior and only got 3 stars

Hotel was great! Not 4 stars per US measure but that's likely geography difference. Staff are friendly, food is excellent! Not brand new hotel which you can tell by the rooms as well as furniture in the lobby but very clean. Location is awesome!

Seemed modern, clean, safe neighbourhood, view of the castle, the pleasant receptionist spoke good English, and the rooms were big with modern bathrooms. Good parking underground but cost 12 Euros. The breakfast looked great, Unfortunately, we'd had a bout of illness and didn't look at dinner and couldn't eat more than dry toast and tea at breakfast. In fact, we had to cancel the first of our 2 planned nights 2 days ahead due to the illness but were charged anyway (as per the contract but gee... the hotel we were at called the ambulance for us and then called Papa Luna to explain and cancel, but, nada, too bad, so sad). Had to wait an hour to check out because a tour bus was checking in - surely they knew when it was coming and could have provided more staff? Still, we'd go back and try them again.

This is a busy hotel.When we had requests,they were responded to, with care by an exceptional staff person,Ana,on reception.Considering the size of the hotel,the buffet offered was wholesome and plentiful.The outdoor pool was crisp and clean.The room was cleaned daily.Be aware of many added costs as everything is extra.

We booked this hotel at the last minute to cut down our driving time between Rojales and Barcelona. The hotel was right were we wanted to be. When we arrived the staff at check-in staff was good. Beach was right across the beach and very nice. Great afternoon break. The rooms very small but clean. The price included 1/2 board and was satisfactory for breakfast. Would recommend.

A very pleasant hotel ideally located. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Mainly Spanish guests.
