Roof bar is a nice touch. Whimsical decor throughout hotel. Terrific location close to Metro. Smallish rooms more suitable for pleasure vs business. Buffet breakfast looked lovely but didn’t try it. Overall a solid choice for this area.

Outstanding atmosphere and friendly staff.

As a solo traveler I felt very safe staying here. The hotel was close to the train station (one block) and had several local convenience stores nearby. Although the outside could get loud in the evening, once my door was closed I didn't hear anything. I would stay again!

Great location, friendly staff, lovely rooftop bar and a decent restuarant, so overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff were especially helpful when I needed to extend my stay by one day due to a flight cancellation. The "Small Double" room was indeed somewhat on the small side, but big enough for one person. Only problem I had was that the fridge in the room wasn't working - reported to reception but unfortunately wasn't fixed during my stay.

Rooftop bar was only open for 1 of the 5 nights we were there. Breakfast was mostly bread and pastries, no porridge or full fry available.

The staff was especially gracious, from check- in to check- out! The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast spread was sustantial and tasty.

I stayed at Mama Shelter recently and overall had a good experience. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side, but the decoration and overall design are fantastic — very stylish, fun, and full of personality. It really feels like a concept hotel with strong character. There was a bit of miscommunication at reception initially, and the service didn’t feel very smooth at first. However, things improved and the overall atmosphere of the hotel made up for it. If you’re looking for a design-forward, vibrant place to stay and don’t mind compact rooms, it’s a great option.

Very friendly staff!

Friendly and helpful staff. “Cool” hotel with interesting style. Would stay here again plus close to a Metro station. Only negative is the lack of parking.

Great vibes and friendly staff! My only complaint is that the housekeeping come to clean the rooms quite late in the day. It would be nice if they could come before 2pm.
