The truest test of a review is would we stay there again? The answer to that is sadly a no. Nothing particularly wrong, just not really a good value all things considered in the end.
The property is well positioned in the city for access to grocery, chain restaurants, coffee houses and the #8 bus. There is a busy street, particularly popular on weekends nearby.
The place was very clean, smelling of bleach when we arrived, however bleach wasn’t wiped away near a counter and one of us ended up with a permanent bleach stain on our clothes. No toilet paper at all when we arrived, but management responded very quickly when we inquired regarding this.
The place is not sound proof - constant footsteps and scraping furniture from above, and a crying child at night from somewhere in the building provided disturbance. Also the dishwasher, while functional, did not clean anything. The frying pan was non-stick and abused by previous people so was unusable.
For the average price, we felt it wasn’t worth it, but it was convenient to make our own food.
Other things of note are there are blackout blinds, the bed is medium firm to soft and for folks used to very firm beds, we were surprisingly very comfortable. The water pressure is fine, water temperature consistent and excellent. If you are looking for a weekend spot to stay, then this is adequate, but for longer term, we felt one could do better elsewhere.
