Welcoming staff, pristine condition, excellent location near the beach and delicious food all combined for a magical visit. Justin was great in dining room. Beach is a two second walk and great walking and surfing. Stayed in a jungle room with outdoor shower.

An unforgettable stay at Sendero Nosara I absolutely loved my stay! It’s perfectly located in the heart of Nosara. It’s just steps from the beach and within walking distance of amazing shops and restaurants. I came here to destress from busy city life, and the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The space is fresh, beautifully designed, and instantly feels like home. The entire team was wonderful — from the front desk to the bar, restaurant, management, and even the surf shack staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there, which created such a positive atmosphere throughout my stay. The food deserves a special mention. Chef Oliver has truly curated something special — a high-end yet relaxed dining experience that captures the spirit of Nosara. Every dish was outstanding; you could honestly eat your way through the whole menu and not find a single miss. Sendero isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. Peaceful, stylish, and full of heart. I can’t wait to return!

My stay at Sendero Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The grounds are lush, green, and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch, and the easy access to the beach made it the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. What truly sets Sendero apart is the staff—they are warm, genuine, and make you feel like family. Their authenticity and kindness embody the true pura vida spirit and left me feeling calm, centered, and inspired. The food was world class, with every meal fresh and full of flavor. Sendero isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience that blends elegance, balance, and authenticity. I left with a new motto: Live lighter, love deeper, and embrace every moment the pura vida way. Thank you, Sendero Hotel

I just returned from my second visit to Sendero, and it truly feels like home. The design of the hotel is stunning, and the staff is absolutely exceptional. They take the time to get to know you, remember you, and make you feel like part of the family. The restaurant is a standout, offering the most delicious menu I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The pool is a serene retreat, the perfect spot to unwind with a good book after a day of surfing. The yoga and surf instructors, especially Lauren and Rodrigo, have made each of my visits unforgettable. I can't recommend Sendero enough – it's an experience that I will continue to cherish and share with others.

Beautiful hotel, very close to the beach. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we wanted for nothing. The restaurant food was excellent. We stayed in the jungle room with the outside shower.

We really loved our stay at Sendero. It is a gorgeous hotel. We had a floor room right off the pool area. I was a tad nervous that it would be noisy at night with the restaurant a few steps away, but not at all. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the glass wall to the outdoor shower was beautiful. It was quite the experience. My husband is going through cancer treatment right now and he said this was his favorite and most comfortable hotel that we stayed at in Nosara. The AC was quiet and worked well during the hot week. We loved the complimentary coffee and banana bread in the morning and quiet time by the pool. The staff was very kind and helpful with arranging our ride to LIR and everything went smoothly. The only thing I didn’t like was they charged a resort fee of $50 per day and a $10 Nosara donation fee per day. I was surprised because this was not stated when booking through hotels.com. I discussed it with the concierge and she kindly refunded the charge on our Credit Card. There was also some construction going on. They are expanding - creating villas to the left of the property and still working on some rooms within the hotel as well. So there was some noise in the middle of the day, but it wasn’t too bad. I’m excited to see what they are doing. All in all, Sendero was a beautiful, safe and relaxing place to stay in Nosara. Location is perfect and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. You’re even greeted with coconuts! What a dream. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel, great interior and exterior design. Amazing location, very friendly hotel staff. But poor service at check in/out, didn’t seem like making sure guests would want to come back or stay longer is a goal.

I loved the ease of getting to the beach via a private beach path! The dining options around the hotel are also amazing (maximum 15 min walk). The hotel pool was great to dip in to cool off. Will be back another time!

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant is expensive but was consistently great. The bed in our room was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located in a great area, walking distance to the beach and to great restaurants. The only downside is the pool area. The pool is kind of small and does not get a lot of sun during day. It’s more like a lounging area rather than a pool you can swim. There’s few lounging chair and an interesting smell in that area (not horrible but bothered me a bit). I like to split the time between beach and pool and I did not feel great doing it there. For the rate they charge, I feel the cost/benefit is not quite there.
