This place is a hidden gem. All three staff members (Noelia, Julie & Jose) were so helpful & reliable. I left my luggage with them as I left to Machupichu. The Rooms are very cozy & comfortable with their own bathroom. The breakfast was good, and the service overall was great. I definitely recommend & will stay if I go back. Thank you to all who made me feel welcomed & comfortable. Dios los bendiga 🙏

In general really nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast simple and alright. The rooms were way too cold and it took ages for the water to turn hot in the shower.

The location is really good, as well as the breakfast. You get fresh eggs, as well as a fruits and cereal buffet. Our room was located directly next to the reception where the front door was always open. Therefore the room and bathroom felt especially cold. The showers are hot though and the beds very comfortable, making up for it. The staff‘s support however wasn’t always very helpful nor welcoming, and what upset me a bit was that we had to pay 5$ for wanting to stay extra in the room for literally 20 minutes due to an important meeting.

If you are thinking about staying at this hostel: DO IT! We were in a 6 bed room with bunk beds. The size of the room was great, there is a bathroom directly next to the bedroom which is cleaned daily. The beds are much bigger than in other hostels (120x200). The location of the hostel is not ideal (unless you want to go to the Inkarail office to get on/off the train). But there is a small green garden with flowers and chairs to relax in the sun. The internet worked well everywhere, even though there are several wifi connections, which is a bit confusing because not all of them work equally well. But apart from these little things, I can only warmly recommend the hostel. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful without exception. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. There is also free tea in the breakfast room throughout the day. There is a bar, a pool table (which was a bit old and worn but it was still fun) and plenty of sofas and seating if you want to pass the time in the hostel. We spent one night in Aguas calientes and during that time we stored our backpacks safely in the hostel.

The inn is unique, but the rooms are so-so. The shower head had a lot of mineral build-up, so the water sprayed everywhere until I rubbed some of it off with my fingers so I could shower. And the shower was slow draining in both rooms I stayed in. Also the phone charging ports don't all work. It does have wifi, includes breakfast, a pool table/games and the staff are friendly and helpful. But overall I wouldn't stay again considering there are places closer to the main part of town that are cleaner. There's no A/C, it's not wheelchair friendly, one room I stayed in had a broken door lock and it says it has an airport shuttle but you have to pay extra for it. Just a heads up.
