Don’t think it about it, book it! This was the best surprise of our trio to Portugal - the cutest little house in the most amazing mountain top village. You literally felt like you were going back in time, but with all the modern conveniences. The host contacted us to let us know that check in process and through WhatsApp, got us sorted. Our offhand comment that we had to leave early and may need to miss breakfast resulted in them showing up early and having everything ready for us. Breakfast was delicious and the view awe-inspiring! If you’re looking for a retreat…this is it!

An ideal quaint village that was a pleasant surprise. Superb room that was so much better than photos could prepare you for. Really a pleasure and wish we could stay longer.

First ever visit to a schist village, and it was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, AC was excellent, kitchen was very well equipped. Breakfast is made to order (pre-ordered) every morning and is excellent. Staff is attentive and accomodating, we found our room made up while we were at breakfast. A really special detail.

This was an absolutely marvelous place. Admittedly there is not much to do in this quiet village, but we found that the comfort of the home kept us very happy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace with firewood included to create a very cozy ambience. The room is very thoughtfully designed and has lots of light. The staff at the breakfast were very kind and provided excellent service. I really enjoyed the chance to customise our breakfast before arrival. I would absolutely return here on a future trip to Portugal.

What an incredible and unique place, set in a historic mountain village. Modern amenities, but still feels like stepping back in time. The local hiking was breathtakingly beautiful.

A magical spot in the mountains of Lousã. Amazing that there are mountain bike and hiking trails right into the village of Gondramaz. No dinner during the week at the moment, but bring dinner up with you or drive down into Miranda de corvo to get dinner. Delicious breakfast though!

If you like one of a kind exoeriences with 4* accommodations this is the place! We loved the drive into the mountains and then the surprise of arriving at a restored medieval shale village! Our apt, Maria, was perfect. It had an ultra modern interior, very comfy bed and barh, full kitchen, infinity pool, and a gorgeous view. I wish that we could have stayed longer to hike the trails. And breakfast was excellent!

We had a little difficulty on arrival because there was a no entry sign across the road leading to the village and we went past it. We eventually found our way and had to swerve round the barrier. Had we been told about this, we would have found the village more easily. The once abandoned hilltop village has been sensitively restored and is now mainly reliant on tourism. Our house was typical - a large picture window with views over wooded hillsides, plenty of solid wooden beams and furniture. The bedroom was downstairs and a handrail would have been handy. The taps and basins were trendy and impractical, with water splashing everywhere, but apart from that all worked well. The house was well equipped with a full oven and dishwasher. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. The pool area was pleasant and welcome at the end of a hot day. We had difficulty finding a television channel, but overall, we would recommend this property, especially if you like peace and quiet.

Absolutamente fantástico! Irrepreensível a todos os níveis. Conforto da casa. Casas motivo bonitas e bem decoradas. Cama com colchão king size muitíssimo confortável. Limpeza e higienização da casa e espaços comuns impecáveis. Simpatia e cordialmente do staff. Um lugar remoto no coração da natureza onde se pode desfrutar de um retiro tranquilo em família.

This is an amazing location. Easy to get to by car yet feels a world away; very quiet and peaceful. The village is like something out of a fairytale. The cottages have every amenity you could need and are very quaint and cosy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish we stayed longer.

A magical place. Bring food as there are no restaurants on site. The staff are warm, friendly and very accommodating.

Casa de MARIA Juste WOW!!! TELLEMENT un endroit extraordinaire, j’ai fallit ne pas réserver à cause du prix vraiment papa assez cher et du chemin à faire dans la montagne mais OMG le petit détour en valait vraiment la peine. Bien accueillit la maison tellement belle, moderne et bien équipé on ne s’attend pas à ça dans un vieux petit village en flan de montagne. La qualités des meubles, literie de qualité le lit tellement confortable, la décoration … Les 2 grandes terrasses au soleil et que dire du CALME juste les oiseaux et la nature. Très bon et gros déjeuners inclus personnelle très gentils et serviables. J’aurai voulu rester tellement plus longtemps ❤️

It was an amazing stay, the ladies in charge were very nice and helpful, the place is very pretty and the cabins are in excelent condition. The amenities inside where very good and the bed was incredible.
