The parking was a bonus. Could have done with a bar /restaurant. The room was OK but not user friendly. Too cluttered. Bed was comfortable.

Able to easily check in slightly early and the staff were really helpful, both at reception and the cleaning staff were really nice as well. The room was lovely and clean, and had Aircon which was brilliant! Beds were comfy and spacious and the bathroom was big and clean too!

Unfortunately their bar and restaurant is closed. A short walk to nearby hotel for fabulous food. We had breakfast and dinner.

very clean hotel. easily accessible from and to exeter. No 7 stops outside. I was welcome by the manager Erica and she was a delight , very bubbly lady and she took me to the room and showed ne how to operate the aircon unit ( which was a blessing as I visited last night when it was proper hot). I stayed at a single room, but it was very spacious , and the bathroom was of decent size. can’t fault this little hotel

I was staying with my 88 year old Mum. We were awoken at 3am by banging and chatting from the room next door. It continued until we left at 7.30am. The room was apparently a room bring renovated with no door lock, just holes where it should be and Yellow No Entry tape. I was told the occupants needed emergency accommodation for the night. I drove 4 hours home on 3 hours sleep. I would not recommend this hotel if you would prefer to sleep through the night!

Incredible value for a 1 night stop on the way back to London from Cornwall. Even better that on the hottest days in May since 1944, it had air-conditioning... a real blessing!

Bed was comfortable, parking was easy and air conditioning was fantastic

Hotel was closed as I arrived before check in time. Don’t worry, there’s a number on the door and Erika is available. Check in process is messed up. Card reader didn’t work, wanted cash, I didn’t have any, so they said they would send payment link. They didn’t and took the money via Hotel.com which is fine. Restaurant is closed. Seems like it has been for years. Room was very clean but poorly maintained. Floorboards broken, a piece of rug was taped down over the missing floorboards, right at the entrance to the door toward the wardrobe and bathroom. I hurt my foot twice. The hotel keeps sending automated messages asking to review the stay. It’s so annoying. They won’t stop. So here is the review. Apart from Erika, the hotel is pretty poor.

Not a good first impression as told when I got there that they could only accept cash. It was only luck I had cash on me to pay, but it would have been nice to have been warned beforehand. The lone staff member was very helpful, but there were evident language difficulties. Apart from that room very clean and comfortable.

Could not speak to anyone who could understand English! My job finished a day early so I wanted to check out a day early and get a refund but I was passed from one person to another and could not even speak to a manager as they were not on site most of the time! I would not go there again!

Parking easy, staff friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, shower great! I had a lovely stay at the Gissons. Also the village is quaint and the pub did amazing food!

Can't know it for the price paid. Spotless room and had a massive comfy bed. Staff were welcoming upon arrival and was a lovely stop over on my way to Cornwall

The staff were helpful and friendly but we were initially put in a standard twin when we had booked a deluxe double this was resolved quickly. The room was comfortable and clean but was very tired and there was no hot water. Additionally we weren't informed until we arrived that the on site restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment, unfortunatly we can't reccomend it and won't be staying again.

Location is perfect, there is a garage nearby, access to the A 38 is nearby and it resides in a lovely village. I was made to feel very welcome by Erica and her team who were more than helpful. Twin room had plenty of space and a nice shower with loads of hot water. Kitchen is currently being renovated so cannot comment on catering, for what I wanted it was perfect.

Clean, tidy and comfortable bed. Erica was very helpful. Car park was not in a good state with pot holes and untidy. No food or drink was not available on site , needs to be more clearer on the booking sites because it was a surprise when i was informed at the hotel.

Would not describe the as a Hotel,no human check in ,room and hotel nothing like the websire, breakfast and bar ,restaurant were an option when we booked but was later ammended Except breakfast still advertised that morning but wasn't available, No public area to sit,no bar open even though they advertised beer garden ,very dull place,we stayed 20 mins then left ,will be contacting hotel for refund

Found it strange no staff really on site only saw 2 and one member of staff seem to cover everything from booking in doing the key to cleaning the rooms, but very pleasant and helpful. The hotel seems to be under refurbishment as the bar and food area was all locked up. Think there is alot of work to be carried out. At first i thought i was the only one staying there. Good hotel for a base to stay
