Bed was terrible! Soft in middle; kept rolling toward centre of mattress. Too bad because otherwise room was lovely.

The parking is in a public parking area. You will get fined if you mix the two letters opposite. And the staff asked me to go to the public parking office to check myself. But no one was there and asked me to go back again and again. I meant I paid for parking at your hotel. You should be in charge of it. The staff just rolled the ball, said I will ask my manager. But when I talked to the manager, she said, my manager would come tomorrow at 8. Which is no one helped really.

Great stay in a very convenient location!

I absolutely love this hotel but I have decided I probably won’t stay at it again just for the simple fact that it didn’t supply bottled water. I have a couple ill illnesses that I deal with and I need to take medication almost 4 times a day and then at bedtime, so it’s nice to have bottled water and I have never been at a hotel yet where they didn’t have it This being sad they did have it downstairs but I had to pay nearly $10 for four bottles and I just really found that I stayed at a hotel that was more than other hotels. I’ve stayed at in Nanaimo before and I would’ve expected. They would’ve had bottled water fortheir customers. Maybe it’s something that you should ask at the front desk if people need any water because I need water it’s not an effect. Their customers. I do not drink water out of a tap. I haven’t in years and that’s also for reasons to do with auto immune so I just feel like that no water being there in our room was very strange and I haven’t seen this yet if this is the new up-and-coming wayto not waste water bottles I get it but then let people know. Please let people know because the pills that I take at night time I need water to take them and I will not drink hotel water. I will not drink City water sorry if I sound like a prima donna. I’m not!!

Close to downtown

We specifically booked this hotel for the pool/hot tub. We booked it on the day we stayed there, several hours before we got there. It was dissapointing to see that the heater was broken. I think something should have been done, like gift card or something, for that. They should tell you this when you book.

I don’t care that there are maintenance issues but when you’re counting on the pool and hot tub working, It better work. Or give me a heads up and ill boon elsewhere but at least not hate this place Ive stayed here 4 times I thonk jow for work Ill be looking elsewhere now Also the front staff woman has super bad B.O.

Excellent place to say in Nanaimo. Check in can be painfully slow bu safe is friendly and courteous.

It was clear that there was something or someone of a security concern nearby that was unsettling from the get go. I called and confirmed an early check in for between 1 to 2 however was not able to get jnto my room until 4:30. Most importantly and concerning is after being in the lounge area for 2-3 hours (after checking in and being in my room) i went to my room for the night and my door was open with the deadbolt switched over, which absolutely suggests someone was in there while i was in the lobby area. Coincidently the person i was travelling with advised they were not necassarily a supporter of the politician that we learned the following day was also staying there while conversing with another supposed guest of the Hotel. The "security" team for this person were so obvious depsite their best efforts and i have no doubt were in my room while i was not.When i approached the staff it was clear that they were not being honest about what had occurred and only offered to move me into another room. They missed the point entirely, if you'll allow someone to go into my initially reserved room why would another one be any different? I asked if they had cameras in the hallways so we could all determine whether my concerns were warranted and was told they do not, which is VERY hard to believe being a very new, modern, downtown hotel. I would never stay here again based on that alone.

Parking is in the parkade next to the hotel and charged @ $9.00 + GST per night. Make sure your license plate number is clearly written on the piece of paper when checking in. A typo was made when hotel staff entered my licence plate in the system and the next morning I found a ticket for a parking violation. The hotel did take care of the ticket, but it is a delay you don't need first thing in the morning when you are in a hurry to start your day.

We were very disappointed to hear that the hot tub wasn’t working when we arrived. There was no indication that it wasn’t going to be working when we booked and it’s the number one reason for our stay. Other then that it was a great room and we ultimately enjoyed our stay.

Newest hotel in Nanaimo. Fully meets expectations. So much walkable places to eat and visit nearby. Would stay here again

Hot tub not working, customer service zero, window view was a concrete wall, and unfortunately that was the highlight of our stay!!!! It was my gf’s bday and I was trying to take her to a nice place, this will be the last time we book again with the Marriott. The lady at the front desk bedside manner was most underwhelming at best but I have to assume that is par for the course at the Marriott Courtyard. Thumbs down :(

Stay here every time I go through Nanaimo. Great location and clean and quiet rooms

Lovely quiet spot downtown nanaimo. Check in was quick and easy! Parking is across the street in a parkade.

Very pleasant stay and exceptionally quiet!!
