From the moment I arrived, this property completely exceeded my expectations. The entire place is absolutely stunning — every detail, from the layout of the land to the location itself, feels intentional and beautifully thought out. The aesthetic is next-level, with architecture, furniture, and design touches that create a space that’s both luxurious and deeply calming. The food was another standout. Every meal was genuinely delicious, and I really appreciated how the menu honoured local Mexican cuisine. It didn’t feel generic or watered down — it felt authentic, elevated, and full of flavour. The pools were perfect — clean, well-designed, and incredibly relaxing. On top of that, the poolside amenities were top notch, making it easy to spend entire days just enjoying that space without needing anything else. What truly set this place apart, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond at every turn. It never felt forced or overly formal — just genuine, attentive, and thoughtful in a way that made the whole experience feel effortless. Overall, this is the kind of place you don’t just stay at — you experience. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

The view was incredible and the general calm ambient of the hotel allowed me to relax and enjoy very much my time there.

Cocolia is a truly special place. We saw whales directly from our room two days in a row – while having breakfast. Waking up in the middle of nature with the sliding doors fully open, jungle and ocean right in front of you, and at the same time staying somewhere that feels clean, calm, and beautifully designed is quite unique. The staff are exceptional. From the moment we arrived, when we were welcomed with a palo santo blessing and a local cacao horchata, and treated like part of the family, to the daily service where everything just flows naturally – warm, professional, and genuinely caring. If you choose an Ocean/Horizon View, you might be lucky enough to see whales in season directly from your bungalow. Breakfast is delivered to your room, and the view makes it even more special. The food is excellent too: one restaurant with international cuisine and wood-fired pizza, and another, a mezcaleria with local snacks. We loved it so much that we extended our stay by four more nights. For us, Cocolia was the perfect place to come after visiting CDMX and Oaxaca - a place to fully unwind.
