We ve enjoyed our stay, nice traditional Mexican style hotel with a breathtaking view and a very nice pool area on a cliff by the ocean. Only drawback was the poor wifi connection in the room

Beautiful property, amazing room with a very colorful Mexican rustic vibe. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a beach. It’s just rocks and not very accessible.

Our stay at Hotel La Joya was fabulous. The staff were generous and helpful, our breakfast was fresh and delicious, our room was peaceful and beautiful. Everything was great - my only regret is not booking this stay for longer!

It was a quaint, clean and comfortable hotel. The balcony overlooked the water so there was an excellent view. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as we were walking distance from the rugged Punta Sur and two beach clubs where you could snorkel near the reef in the beautiful water, as well as a couple of restaurants and the cutest coffee shop.

This is such a cute boutique-style hotel. It has a very charming, old-fashioned feel—almost like a cozy “grandma-style” aesthetic with pottery, flowers, and lots of character. If you appreciate that kind of style, you’ll really love it. Just don’t expect a modern, super sleek, open-concept hotel—it’s more unique, with small staircases and a layout that adds to the charm. The pool was absolutely stunning, and being right off the beach made it even better. It’s a perfect spot for relaxing and taking beautiful pictures. There’s also a hammock on the back porch with an incredible view, which was honestly one of the highlights. The room had a refrigerator, which was very convenient, and the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and sweet—they really added to the experience. The only real downside was the TV, which was basically unusable. Overall, it was a really lovely stay. For a boutique-style hotel experience, I’d definitely rate it a 10/10.

This is on the low-key southern end of the island. If you want tranquility and views, this is perfect.

Room had a great view of the ocean and was tucked away on quite side of island. The property owner was super amazing with holding our luggage til able to check in our next location. Breakfast was delicious and awesome staff service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island!

I liked the staff. the desk could get a taxi in no time and exchange sandy beach towels for fresh. I like the location. Felt safe walking around there’s a beach club close by. A nice place to have breakfast is left out of the driveway. The pool was clean and cool. The unfortunate part is - there is no beach down the hotel’s path. There’s a nice swing over the rocky shoreline. Bring water shoes for that area. The island has more than enough beaches to make up for it.
