The location is great with a view of a fjord but otherwise the place seems ready for demolition. The room in a sort of back alley behind the main building was boring and dull. The bed was not comfortable and all around the room was aged. I have not seen any staff during my stay as everything was closed. Everything goes digital which is ok as long as you have sufficient skills in this field. You get instructions via e-mail with the entry code to your room and a link to a short movie. All other information also goes via Internet links like information about the wifi connection and booking breakfast.

This Hotel in Aabenraa is old, and that doesn’t bother us. The beds were clean, and the mattress was decent. The carpets, while worn and stained, were tolerable. The UNAACEPTABLE part was the shower curtain, stained in a mustard-brown color. But worse, the faucet spout was green and black. That’s where the water comes out for rinsing your teeth! Now, the owner admits it’s a vintage hotel, that things wear down near the beach—but what’s being done about it? It’s not enough to accept it. When you pay over 100 euros a night, can’t a shower curtain be replaced? And how can the faucet spout be left like that, when that’s the water you rinse your mouth with? Admitting it isn’t enough—action is the minimum. With what guests pay, these things should be fixed.

My room was clean. Me and our group stayed there for four nights. We always had breakfast outside. But the building and rooms are clearly getting on in years. We had strong winds from the east and the cold January air whistled audibly through the balcony door, but with two blankets it was okay. However, the draughty windows do not provide good insulation from the noise of the relatively busy thoroughfare for Denmark. All in the group shared compatible experience.

Digital hotel so no observable staff, it's very clean if a little tired, but amazing for the price. The beds are very comfortable, it has a lovely breakfast and the view is amazing. Access from the motorway was around 15 minutes and I would happily stay here again.
