Rooms were not super clean, found hairs on the bed and the shower that were not mine (blonde vs I’m brunette). Only a duvet and fitted sheet were on my bed no sheet. No slippers were provided so you can take your shoes on and off Japanese style. However, the room was very spacious for Japan. The main front desk lady was not Japanese and therefore spoke English with an unfamiliar accent making communication hard, I don’t believe she fully informed me of every amenity. I only know from other reviews that they had breakfast offered. She was very friendly though. The location is a must- right across beautiful Yasaka shrine and located next to an amazing Wagyu skewer vendor. Also located near Gino’s old canal. Very convenient location and would stay again for that reason.

Really great staff, great location in a quieter part of Gion. Staff helped me with luggage forwarding which I really appreciated.

The staff were friendly and helpful of any questions/requests that I had. The property is a short walk from subway and very close to the Yasaka Shrine/Gion and Pontocho areas. Large and pretty room made stay very comfortable. Highly recommended.

This building is in the most perfect location. Staff were friendly and the facilities were nice and clean. I would stay again.

Not what we expected from photos

Great location with Maruyama Par just across the road and walking distance to most places. The hotel provided a free breakfast that was a pleasant surprise. There was a problem with my booking and the lady on reception took a lot of effort to sort it out for me.

観光地に近いのは良かった。けど入り口の案内が分かりにくい。受付のスタッフの笑顔がなく、残念。部屋は値段もあり、狭く小さくてもソファがあると良かった。お風呂も綺麗だが狭かった。

Trevlig personal, bra område, stort rum, badrum var lite väl litet. Trevlig frukost som överträffar förväntningarna.
