The stay overall was very good. Limited parking space and can be a little awkward to drive up a small steep drive to park well if there are other cars parked there too in the limited spaces. Main issue for us was that there is no separate bathroom in Room No.8 whic is in the attic.The bathtub is in the room with an attached flx hose shower with no privacy. Apparently this mentioned in the websites,wher this property is advertised, but I didn't pick up on that. No issues at all with cleanliness, and courteous snd friendly staff. Location is conveniently close enough to Ambleside and Windermere.

Brilliant breakfast lovely and freshly made could not fault it . The room we stayed in nice and clean we had a nice peaceful sleep. Parking wasn't a problem plenty of room to park your car. Overall I'd definitely go back again.

A lovely characterful B&B in a quiet and convenient location for Windermere. Rooms very clean, welcoming staff with a superb breakfast and would visit again when in the Lake District.

We had a great stay at Rum Doodle, a friendly welcome on arrival we were shown to our room. We stayed in Wish, which was clean, well equipped and we loved the quirky decor and nice village views. Great shower! The only minor issue we found was the 4-poster bed was quite creaky, and some noise from other rooms but that's just the nature of the building, and it was very quiet overnight so we slept well. The location is great for exploring Windermere and Bowness, both easily in walking distance and the lakes beyond. Breakfast was filling and a good selection of hot options as well as fresh fruit salads, cereals and toast. Overall we would definitely stay at Rum Doodle again and recommend to others.

10 min walk to the lake passing shops, cafes and bars, breakfast was lovely served to our large room with table in the bay window, so clean and homely

Although we arrived early we were able to park, our room was not ready but we were given our keys so that we come come back later. Our room came with breakfast served in the room which we did not know. Superb breakfast every morning. All staff very friendly. 15 mins walk to Bowness or Windermere with buses available to other areas. Great place and location to stay. would definately stay again highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Rum Doodle, friendly welcome, lovely building full of character and a spacious room! We were served breakfast in our room which was such a great touch and both mornings, it was delicious! The staff were very engaging and cared about our needs. We will definitely be back when we return to Windermere 🙂 thanks for a great weekend!
