Room Essentials provided. Lacked bedside shelf or table. Had to stand on stool to open only small window. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc. shower fine. Very clean. Could do with a chair. Fan provided but not used. Parking behind hotel. Could see car from room. Breakfast very good. 8.3am last time a bit early for us. Felt we got good value. Didn't need to have other meals there or use bar but premises spacious, nice decor, menu looked fine and staff very friendly and helpful.

Waterford lodge is in an excellent location a few minutes walk into the High Street, free parking is available, we stayed in room 1 which was a large room the double bed the room was clean as was the bathroom, the furniture is dated but thats down to preference, There is a bar and food is served ( we didn't eat there but saw food being brought to tables it both looked and smelled lovely.

Staff were helpful & friendly. Family room was spacious, clean enough (except used tissue under bed) the room does need updated. There was an unpleasant damp odour in the room, had the windows opened for a few hours to freshen the room. Breakfast and the service next morning was great. Overall the 1 night stay served a purposed although the rooms in this old hotel definitely need updated.

Staff were brilliant I have had breakfast before and fantastic plenty to eat Bar. And outside area great lots of room Sad to say it all needs updating up stairs. All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab

On first arrival, we were relieved, as the hotle seemed quite nice. However, after we walked down the stairs to our room, we were hit with a strong smell of damp, which unfortunately also smelled quite strongly in the room. We were also at street level with a public pavement right outside, so didn't feel like we could leave the windows open safely.

rooms could do with an update, breakfast is cooked to order and was great. Bar is spacious and well kept , food is available , but we chose to eat elsewhere in the town.

Staff were all lovely and very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean overall, could perhaps do with someone to clean the bathroom with a fresh pair of eyes as some areas are being overlooked. Overall though, excellent value and we would happily go back - would recommend.

This centrally located hotel is perfect for a trip in or around Morpeth. We were a group of four in two rooms. The rooms were large and spacious, and the beds comfortable and clean. The rooms and public areas would benefit from some decoration as they detract from the fantastic customer service the staff offers. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were in the area

No internet although was advertised as having excellent connection, central heating not working just a portable radiator - hot water took about 15 minutes to come through

Staff were very friendly at check-in/checkout and lovely at breakfast. Food was fresh with lots of choice. Room was a good size and very comfy bed. A bit of noise from the main road and the only downside was that the "hot" water was lukewarm. But only stayed one night so wasn't a massive issue. Would stay again. :)

The check in process was slow and almost comical! Spoke to two bar staff about checking in. We were eventually directed to reception. After waiting and ringing bell, the same barman came through to check us in! Why we had to ask and wait I still have no idea! There was a lack of information about the room, how to enter after bar closed etc Room was big and clean. Very warm to the point of boiling. Towels in bathroom were lovely. Lots of tea and coffee which was appreciated. Bed was soft but that’s ok. Shower did not work - dribble and didn’t heat up at all. So after my morning run, this was disappointing. Had to run a bath which was lovely and hot. Reported shower to receptionist. No apology at all. Free parking was a win!

Courteous staff, good value and a good breakfast. Location is convenient for centre of Morpeth. Parking available as well, which is necessary for us. Decor is in need of refreshing and plumbing (including some showers) is far from perfect. All in all, a good place for a one night stay, but not ideal for a longer stop.

Our stay was fine, we had a comfortable room staff were friendly and breakfast was very good.

It was a really old, rundown room and corridor. The hot water was lukewarm and pressure wasn't very strong. You couldn't control the heating so it was very cold. But the heating did come on at 5pm. There was no WiFi in the rooms which was pointless. Overall, a disappointing stay.
