Disappointing timy room small uncomfy bed and dirty bathroom would never use again

Very cheap and cheerful. Stayed the night before getting the ferry from Dover But wish spent a bit more on something better as this was very dated and in need of refurbishment. We stayed at the Grnad Burstin last year which was also terrible so not having much luck with properties in Folkestone. Guess you get what you pay for…..

Lovely decor downstairs in the hotel. The room was basic but had what I needed and the hotel was conveniently situated. Low pressure in the shower though so water only trickled out

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Unacceptable Standards and Poor Customer Service What should have been a simple overnight stay turned into an extremely unpleasant experience due to the unacceptable condition of the room, poor service, lack of communication, and complete failure to meet even the most basic standards expected from a hotel. From the moment we entered the room, it was clear that the hotel’s standards were nowhere near acceptable. The room was filthy, outdated, poorly maintained, and had a strong, unpleasant smell that made the entire stay uncomfortable. The condition of the accommodation gave the impression that it had been neglected for a considerable amount of time. It was not just tired or dated—it was genuinely dirty and unwelcoming. A hotel room should provide guests with a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment. Sadly, this room failed on every level. The furniture and fittings were old and worn, the room lacked proper upkeep, and there was an overall feeling of neglect throughout. It was shocking that a room in this condition was considered acceptable to offer to paying guests. The bed was another major issue and was simply not fit for purpose. A comfortable bed is one of the most basic expectations when booking a hotel, yet this one was uncomfortable, worn out, and provided an extremely poor night’s sleep. Was told at check in we hadn’t paid even though we showed confirmation. Was told it can’t be because it’s a room only booking and these aren’t prepaid. Was made to pay again and there was a price difference too. First staff member advised us to go one way to our room which was very long, best way to describe it is as a maze after already going up and down several times throughout the day during the late evening we were informed by another staff member there was an easier way to our room. The room itself was dirty, window glass was broken and sellotaped, units were broken and unstable, bedding was dirty we had to sleep on top luckily it was not cold, main room door had a crack in it

You get what you pay for. Cheap accommodation suitable for 1-2 nights. Staff very helpful and let us leave bags with them after check out (as we had 4 hours until our train left). Sea view from the room was great. Room was a bit tired but again, expected when paying the low price we did.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. It was cheap, so I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. The room had an unpleasant smell, which seemed to come from the old, dirty carpet. The furniture was not cleaned properly, and I could clearly see hair and other dirt around the room. The bathroom was also disappointing. It took a long time to get the shower water to the right temperature, and it was usually either too hot or too cold. I also found a lot of hair in the sink and on the bed sheets, which made the room feel unhygienic. This hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs much better cleaning and maintenance. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve future guest experiences. Thank you.

The hotel was on the sea front Budget value I booked a single room Parked easily and cheaply at a local car park for £1.50 No lift and was on 1st floor Easy check in

Place was very dirty and poor fitting curtains hanging down in the room Walls were paper thin and you could here people next door talking and even snoring

Property was in very bad condition. Toilets were filthy there were urine & hairs on seat , spit and stains in sink. Room windows were jammed and the locks were broken. Fire alarm went on at 5:30am & no one was telling what was happening. Everyone was panicking and it was the day of thunderstorm. I made a complaint but the manager denied for partial refund as well. They do not have fans as well for guests. Staff was horrible and was arguing with each other in front of guests. Suggest to avoid this place at all cost. Housekeeping opened our bedroom door without knocking at 10am while the check out was at 10:30am. You can hear the people next door farting and shouting. Manager woke my dad up at 1am because next door guest complaint about the toilet fan which is managements problem. NEVER BOOK TOOM HERE.

Ok for a one night stay close to the tunnel

Cramped room, Damp walls, Flooded bathroom, Knickers on floor in hallway.

We have stayed in some terrible hotels but this takes the biscuit. The carpet in the room was sticky, the floor in the bathroom was slippery as the was a leak from the toilet. Our room had a sea view however the smoking area was right below us and as a consequence all we could smell was smoke. People congregated in this area at all times of the day and night so as a result we were constantly disturbed. We would recommend that you try everywhere else first and only use this place if you are desperate.

Possibly the worst place i have stayed in. The room was filthy, although the bedding was clean. Skirting board was extremely dirty, the carpet hadn't been hoovered. Tea and coffee stains on the work surface. Bins not emptied. Curtains didn't draw properly. Windows filthy.

They did even clean the room & tidy they just change the towel & leave 1 toilet roll on top of the bed ! It will be better to do hoover on the floor kettle was very rusty !!! Breakfast very basic! Parking was Okey as first come first serve!! Shower wasn't that hot !!
