First, the positives. The room was bright and clean, the bathroom was clean. There was ample parking.
This property made me very sad. Beautiful building, beautiful interiors but it seemed like the owners were deliberately running it down so that it can somehow be repurposed for alternative use.
The property was deserted and no one was at reception when I arrived. I rang the bell and a young man answered, gave me a key and disappeared. No offers of help to carry my luggage up the stairs. There were no toiletries in the bathroom but they brought some up for me when I asked. No food or drink facilities. I asked for a bottle of water- the guy who answered the phone said he didn’t know if they had any. However he did bring up a jug of water and ice etc. My room wasn’t cleaned on the second day although I had hung the sign on the lock.
I don’t know what is going on with the property here but it was clear that the owners/staff couldn’t care less if it was attracting guests or if guests would leave a review or not.
